225/60/17 instead of 225/55/17?

Hi Guys,

I was looking for a good deal on winter rims and tires and found a good set but the tires are not exactly the same size as OEM. 225/60/17 instead of 225/55/17. I realize the speedo would be a little bit off but are there any other disadvantages and possibly some advantages of running that size?

what's your opinion on the whole thing? Thanks!

3% difference from OEM diameter is typically the range that's acceptable, that size is just a bit over that but not much. Since you'd be running a square (all sizes the same) setup you should be ok and that tire being about 9/10" taller might be helpful in the snow

if anything, the speedo will likely be closer to actual with the slightly larger tires
