Sedan wheel change

Sedan wheel change
On my 2009 G37x sedan I have the stock 17" rims. I am interested in swapping them out for something better looking, but I don't necessarily want to go up in size. Maybe 18" at the max, but I am really enjoying the ride quality of this car. I am not the type that has to dump $10k in it to upgrade it..it is just my daily driver.
So, can anyone suggest some nicer looking 17's or talk about the ride comfort between 17's and 18's. A lot of polarizing opinions on the internet about it, but the general idea is that bigger rims/smaller sidewall mean a rougher ride. Keep in mind, not trying to be a baller and impress anyone, just make it look a little nicer.

I have the 17s on my car currently but plan on 18 or 19" wheels. If you need ideas for nice looking wheels try this thread

If you don't plan on lowering your suspension 18s is the way to go, many wheel options and tires are reasonably priced. The extra 1/2" shorter sidewall won't really affect the ride quality at all. And best of all this opens you up to many more tire options, the 17" narrow wheel really locks you into a very narrow choice of tires, and only a couple are very good. A great wheel size for a stock AWD would be 18x8.5 with an offset of +30 to +35 running 245/45/18 tires. Another wheel option would be a 18x9 +36 to +40 running the same 245/45 tires. Check www.tirerack.com for tires, you'll be amazed how many more they have in that size vs. the 225/55/17

I just bought these...granted RWD but they are custom built to your car. They take 1.5 months to be built. I should have mine in several weeks. Will be taking pics galore!
