Powder Coat Color Recommendations?

Hey guys!

New member here just picked up a 2013 G37X sedan in white with black interior. It came with the standard 17s and I bought it knowing I needed tires. Taking full advantage of an opportunity to upgrade, I got a set of coupe 19s for SUPER CHEAP on Craigslist and I have some 245-40-19 michelins at my house waiting to go on them. The wheels need to be refinished so Im trying to pick a powder coat color. I really REALLY like the color of the dark grey gloss IPL wheels but it seems no one can match those... Has anyone gotten a color that closely resembles them?

My local guy uses Prismatic powders and so far the only ones I can find that I like are "Metallic Charcoal" with a super wet gloss top layer and another is the "Crystal Grey" with super wet gloss top layer.

Anyone else have some recommendations or experience in this? Would really appreciate your ideas and guidance as I am dropping these off on Monday to get taken care of.

Thanks!
Nick

As long as you're going through the trouble of getting your wheels powder coated, you may as well go with the color no one else has. If they are stock wheels, everyone has the same color. But if you go different, you will make your stock wheels unique.

Good point^^ If you check through the epic Getyourwheels thread you'll see many stunning finishes, some of those bronze tones are really spectacular. https://www.myg37.com/forums/wheels-...-showroom.html

Luckily mostly any color will go well with white
gunmetal/bronze are always winners but if you're feeling freaky you could go with some purple or neon of some sort

I'm generally a fan of darker bronze wheels on white. But what about going something flashy like a purple? Something like this:

Its really a work/professional DD for me so I dont want to do Flashy. I just wanted to upgrade from the terrible looking 17s and since Im getting these 19s refinished, figured id do something to enhance the look a little bit! I ended up picking Crystal Gray with a super deep wet gloss clear. Should have them back by Saturday latest.
