08 G37 Coupe Journey - Wheel/Tire/Springs Fitment

Sorry in advance for posting yet another one of these threads. I've searched the forums for days looking for anyone who has done this combination of mods and I have not found it.

I have a 2008 G37 Coupe Journey and I want to get new wheels, tires, and springs for it. My current tires have almost no tread so I figured if I'm replacing them anyway I might as well get the new wheels and springs I wanted.

My current setup is completely stock, except the tires are 245/45/R18. I believe these are the stock specs for my wheels: Front & Rear 18x8 +43mm offset

New proposed setup is 20" Advanti wheels with Bridgestone Ponteza S-04 Pole position tires.

I also want to get Eibach springs.

Full proposed specs:

Front:
255/35/20 tires
20x9 40+mm offset wheels

Rear:
285/30/20 tires
20x10 45+mm offset wheels

Eibach springs

I've plugged everything into the tire/rim calculator and it states that inner clearance will be 27.4mm less and outer position will be extended by 23.4mm. I'm worried about that inner clearance. With the combination of lowering the car and the decreased clearance will this setup work? Do I need to find different wheels? Would I need spacers?

Thanks for the help in advance.

(Obligatory pic of the car)

Welcome to the forum and congrats on your G! As long as you trim down/cut off your rear bracket I dont think you should have any issues. Get some more opinions first though. I'm sure you'll be getting plently soon.

Welcome to the site. Those offsets are better for a Sedan, you've got more room to go out w/ your coupe, for a better fit that's closer to flush at the fender I'd look into going about 10mm less positive. A 9+30 and a 10 +35 would be a nice fit w/ those tire sizes, and those Pole Positions are a solid choice.

How/why do you do this?
