I'm sure I can't be the first person to think of this, but I was unsuccessful at searching . . . has anyone ever fitted 18x8.5 REAR wheels from a G37S sedan on all 4 corners of a G37xS sedan?

The G37xS sedan simply needs more rubber out back in order to apply power productively mid-turn. The factory 18x7.5 wheels with 225 section width rubber just doesn't cut it. I feel like 18x8.5 wheels with 245 section width rubber on all 4 corners would go a LONG way in increasing the vehicle's abilities.

Frankly, I can't understand why Infiniti didn't take a cue from the Acura TL SH-AWD and put wider wheels with 245 section width rubber on all four corners from the factory.

 

It will be fine if tires match

 

Test fit first because the sedan Sport rear wheels are 50mm offset versus 45mm for the Sport front 7-1/2"

 

Exactly, it'll end up leaving me with about 17mm less clearance on the inside . . . not sure if that will end up being an issue.

 

Any verdict yet?

 

Negative, I've had a very difficult time sourcing the 8.5" wide versions of these wheels. Considering they were only ever put on the rear end of RWD Sedan Sport models, I understand why there's not many out there. I've found a couple online wheel refurbishers that have just one in stock, but obtaining 4 will be a chore. That said, I'm not really in a huge rush. I've likely got 9-12 months worth of rubber remaining on my current tires that I'd rather not waste.

 

TBH I'd just source a set of coupe 19s, the 1/2" stagger won't cause any issues running 245/40/19s all around and are a nice looking wheel, much easier to find too

FWIW, like 4DoorFury mentioned, the rear 18x8.5 rear sedan wheels will fit just fine all around on the XS sedan, if you can find them

Also there's a few that have found the anniversary 19" wheels in the convertible offset which is a very good fit as it's only a +30 in this thread, just gotta dig through it. These might be available through some Infiniti parts sites. The ones that got them were finding them for like $125 each.
