Rim/Wheel Dimensions

I was thinking about getting some rims but don't want to get a separate set of tires. Currently running 225 front and 245 rear.

I know the stock sport rims run 19x8.5 and 19x9

If the rims I'm looking at are offered in 19x8.5 and 19x9.5
Which would fit the 245 tire best?

Thanks.

If you buy an aftermarket set of wheels the same size as the current ones you have then yes you can just swap tires and adding .5 in the rear is fine but no more than that.

Are you simply asking to determine which tires are front and which are rear?

The 245 printed on the tire stands for 245mm wide, which when it's converted to inches is just about 9.6 inches. They will be your rears.

I know the rear stock are 19x9.

but the aftermarket wheels I'm looking at only come in 19x8.5 and 19x9.5
Can I use the same rear tires that are currently on my stock rear rims with either the 19x8.5 or the 19x9.5?

Yes 245s can go on a 9.5" wheel, it's the widest wheel recommended for them.

Yep, like I stated, they will be a great fit for the rears. The 225 will be just fine on the front too but maybe a bit meaty for the cars taste, not sure..

In my opinion 245s on 9.5 is too narrow. I had 245s on 9" wheels and they were at the point of stretched on them.

But 245 is the stock width for the 19x9 rim from infiniti?

Just check the manufacturers site(s) For example click on the Toyo site and click 19" size then scroll to find 245/40/19 and you'll see a 8 to9.5" width is in their acceptable range. Some 245s may not be in range so I would verify w/ the tire you want to run

They are indeed on both the Sport and the IPL.

I'd advise not putting the 245 on a 9.5
