I don't necessarily think that's true. If something is a deep passion, you're going to want the best out of it...not mess with small hassles. Wanting the top line or best quality is feeding that passion and not settling. You experience with the TSWs...you learned your lesson and upgraded. So when people throw these "elitist" comments around, take it from people's experience as to not settle for sub-par quality, make it worth your while or don't even do it.

Look at it this way, our G, and another man's Ferrari. Just because his is more expensive, does that mean he's more of an enthusiast? Not by any means.

Enthusiasts enjoy something and share that enjoyment with others.
Ex. "Those wheels aren't my taste, have you considered these other options? Here is a nice set of quality wheels with a similar style at your $2k price point"
Elitists make snobbish remarks to anything they deem lesser.
Ex. "Volks, Stock, or drive your car off a cliff. Preferably drive your car off a cliff."

And how many folks here are wetting their panties over CV3 and sc5s and other basic 5 spoke wheels looking exactly like option B...how does that make a statement?
There are plenty for under 2k...that can get you a lot of options in all honesty. If that's your price range, I would definitely knock Niche, Verde, Voss, Vertini off your list. Check around the other forums, quality used sets are out there and you'll be better off than risking a cracked junker in order to save $300.

But you're not making a *statement*, bro. You needs to floss yo whip.
I tend to buy wheels that *I* like, and IDGAF if they don't score big points in Internet ****-measuring contests.
I do like the look of CV3's, and will probably get them or something similar.
