Thanks for your experience that makes me feel even better about the purchase. I also don't think it was the stretched tire, but wanted to give full disclosure. The reason I don't think it was the cause is the fact that this one inch hairline crack was not started by an impact mark. Basically, this means that the lip being slightly exposed didn't cause it to hit a pothole or anything unusual. Also, the tire size I have was in Discount Tire's book of approved fitments on a 10.5" wheel.
When I first read this post I knew it had nothing to do with the tire size, it's TheSoftWheel that caused it. I had a few friends fall victim to TSW wheels. My personal conclusion are they are just subpar wheels. Some people don't believe in dropping the cash on quality forged wheels but they make all the difference when driving on crappy roads. I live in the Northeast and my previous Iforged wheels were tanks with rubberband tires. Never a bend or crack in 20K miles.

I don't believe in dropping the cash on quality wheels so I replaced the TSW's with these.
