So I decided to add spacers....

want this for mine
AF: I read you initial post and I find myself in the other side of your observation. The 25mm rears are perfect, and the 20mm fronts are not "out" enough. It could be a difference in our respective Gs (yours an IPL, mine a regular X). But I gotta say, with the factory low, that IPL looks sweet with the widened stance.
Mr, Mer.....fairly new to the site and not very smart, I too have the same car as you, the spacers are something I'd like also. I'm kinda clueless about this mod though. Adding these spacers..... they don't cause any clearance issues? When making sharp turns no rubbing? Also....where would I buy them? Cost? I also have another question. I just bought new tires for my car yesterday, I went from the 225 series to the 245 series. would this matter? Also... I noticed immediately that my speedometer is now not correct, shows me going faster than I am for sure. I'm thinking between 5-10 mph. Can I get this corrected somewhere? Or am I stuck with it?

i have spacers on my 2010 Sport coupe. After a little searching on here I found several threads recommending 20 mm up front and 15 mm in back. Your car looks good but I think 25 mm in back is too much. Unless the ipl wheels have a different offset and need the 25mm to be flush.

Going to break this down...
no and no. Wel... shouldn't. I know I had no issues when I was still at stock height, and sure have none now that I am lowered.
I got mine from B2Autodesigns, one of the sponsors of this here forum. They will run you about $250, maybe a little less.
Shouldn't if you have not lowered your car. And even then, 245 is one of those sizes that should fit nicely over stock wheels without issues.
I am not sure why there are discrepancies if you have not changed the radius of the wheel/tire arrangement. I am sure others will chime in soon and explain.

One consideration is if you'll stick with the stock tire sizes. I'd probably be able to get away with larger on the front but not on the rear. It'd most likely rub. Right now, as is, the outer edge of the stock rear tire is outside of the fender well.
Mr_Mer, it's growing on me. My initial reaction was probably based on the fact I didn't think 25mm would make such a dramatic difference. I don't know if the IPL wheels are wider or have a different offset from the X.

Yeah not getting an R8 or anything super exotic in the garage anytime soon. It's a bit hilly where I live and it's a common thing in my neck of the woods. But yeah every time I pull into the garage I feel like I'm launching into space. My downtown parking spot has a steep entrance too. It's like everyone drives trucks around here and roads/driveway design just doesn't matter.

It looks better on the IPL because of the wider body kit.
My normal setup is 15 rear 10 front.
In winter with wider Pilot Sport all seasons I go 10mm rear none front
I can see how 25 rear would seem to poke a bit as its such a increase from stock.
I actually think I may go with just 5mm front for the summer and 15 rear. The wheel well up front, even when slightly lowered, already shows off quite a bit of tire. Having it poke a bit sometimes gives it an illusion of even more wheel gap.
I also noticed more immediacy in steering response with front spacers. To mitigate some understeer, you might consider lowering front tire pressure by a couple psi or increasing rear by a couple or a combination of the two... or installing a firmer rear sway bay
