How many miles are you getting out of your Summer Tires?

Hey guys tried search for a thread disccusing tread life on your summer Staggered set-ups but couldnt find anything.

Reason why I'm typing this up is because after 1 season/13k miles on hankookv12s, the rears are gona be replaced(4/32'). (Fronts 7/32') Very dissaponted with the life of these tires. Soo currently doing research for some new rubber. Blnewt mentioned PSS, Also, looking at S.Drive, Potenza, Toyo Proxes

Soo, for those of you who run a staggered summer set-up. How many miles are you getting out of your rears?

25K on PSS

Rears wore out at 25K. Fronts more than half worn(35K?)' 2012
vert sport staggered. Replaced rears with Mich PSS again and will probably do same in front.

He said he just replaced them w/ Michelin PSS again.
FWIW I have the Nitto NT555s, decent tire overall but I doubt it has the same grip as the PSS or the other 3 or 4 highest rated summer tires. Nitto has a brand new NT555 G2 that should be a top notch choice but the sizes at launch are a bit limited right now.

V12 K110 or evo2? Have the evo2 to put on next. Have 8k miles on RE760 currently and it's hardly dented. at least 2/3 left. they are very heavy though.

My rears only lasted 5 months. They were totally toast when i pulled them off. i was running about -3.4 camber, but my toe was very close to 0 in the rear. i am now searching for rear replacements myself. i was running the vredestein ultrac sessanta tires which are now discontinued which sucks so now ill have to replace my fronts also in order to match my tires front to back. My front tires still have PLENTY of tread left btw.. pretty frustrating.

I had the Mich PSS. Did one track day with them and the rears got about 20k the fronts did a bit more. Bought another set because they seemed like the best grip and longest lift for the money.

The PSS have a 15k warranty on the staggered setups, 30k on normal.

Curious the OP is in Boston, do you drive the car year-round? I'm sort of in one of those climates where it's hot but during the winter, it can reach freezing or below. Wondering if colder temperatures degrade summer tires more quickly, especially below 40 degrees, possibly due to cold tearing?

Not uncommon for that type of wear giving the car and tire. You may get a bit longer life from the PSS's being you can rotate them easier. Even longer life from tires like BFG Sport Comp-2, B-Stone RE760 or S-drives.

I've got 45k miles on my Bridgestone 760's. I can probably get one more summer out of them but I might replace them later this year before summer ends. Still debating it.

24k miles from the OE RE760s. They turned into cones because of the crap alignment off the showroom. Had camber arms installed and had toe both front and rear cut in half. The Potenza S04 Pole Positions look to exceed 24k miles and the car turns better and doesn't engage the DST nearly as often.
