Gunmetal wheels on graphite shadow?

Gunmetal wheels on graphite shadow?
Soooo... I just got a set of coupe wheels refinished. They look beautiful, BUT are a lot darker than I was expecting. I was hoping for more contrast between the wheel and car, but the color came out looking more like a not-quite-right colormatch to the paint.
Thoughts?
Anyone have pics of gunmetal wheels on GS?
What to do... what to do? Should I mount them or just walk away and sell them at this point?
**EDIT: Closeup shots of wheels in the sun

I'd run them as is, especially since you're happy w/ the paint quality. I would then paint your calipers a nice contrasting color, that will really show them off, then having wheels that blend won't even be a consideration, at least that's my O.
And BTW, those close-ups really show how nice that finish is, would be a shame to do them over.
A nice dark maroon, dark blue, burnt copper would be a nice caliper colors.

Thanks for the pics. Unfortunately, they just solidified what I was already thinking. Gunmetal wheels on a grey car just make the whole thing look blah. It's just a huge swath of the exact same tone, so there is nothing to make the wheels stand out. The part of the car that is usually the focal point to me gets completely lost.
I'm really bummed how it all came out, and I don't think I'm going to run them on my car.
ZahyMatar, if you're serious, send me an offer...

Every single time you approach the car, you're going to run this discontent through your head. Every. Single. Time. It's exactly why people throw big money chasing wheel fitment considerations. You tell yourself that it's not bad, and you try to focus on the positive aspects. But the negatives can't be un-seen.

Yeah, I don't like them. There isn't any contrast. You would do better just getting black wheels on this. IMO, its all about contrast. This kind of screams 2000s to me...Good choice not to run.

I think you made the right decision here. At least, the right decision for you... difficult as it probably was to make.

As a result, the wheels are going back to PC for a coat of metallic black similar to VMR's "Galaxy Black"
It will give me the contrast I want, and since my guy has the powder in stock, he'll do it at a discount. This was a very expensive mistake, though... oh well. Live & learn.

Wow went through (almost) the same thing, but my powdercoated turned out pretty shady, he used a similar color he had in stock rather than ordering the right color ... thinking I wouldn't notice
