RPF1's are truly a enthusiast staple but they are getting a little old for me. The styling leaves a bit to be desired but the performance can't be matched at the price so easily.

Some might refer to that as 'classic'.

I do see your point, however. Wheels seem to roughly break down into two camps. Those that have been around a long time and continue to sell well due to design, performance, etc. Think BBS and Enkei. And those manufacturers that are always pushing ahead (or forward, not sure which). Think Vossen, which has already retired some designs.

Both of these business models seem to do well as there are some enthusiasts that own more than one set of wheels, and also those who change wheels like underwear.

That's the AE lip, isn't it? Out of Dubai?

This particular car, w/o chrome and all the flat-black trim... yes, those wheels look right, and look like they mean business. But on most sedans, I don't think so.

I agree. Those wouldn't work on my G. Even with smoked headlight housings and full trim wrap. I do like the silver, hyper silver, whatever it's refereed to. But I'm old, not hip...

I think it's the Carbon Signal front lip in Dubai. AE is Japan. Either way, CS is a replica of AE. Who cares, they're all the same. Here I am arguing with myself.

There both still expensive tho although the Carbon signal's one is a little more do able. I think I'll just get the OEM sport lip and buy some rubber vinyl lip to add to it to give it a more aggressive look, but thanks for the info guys.

what up guys and gals. these are 19x8.5 +42 square setup. bought them used for CHEAP so I couldn't refuse. I knew they wouldn't be flush but i still like em, looks really clean in person. The cars lowered on Eibach pro-kit springs. 245/40/19 all around. still gotta get the lugs i want and make some center caps.

Here's a real nice set. Looks like the real deal. Too racy for me though.

Those are so sick. They look absolutely epic on that NSX.
The fitment would be pretty aggressive on a sedan, though.

Agreed. Blnewt and I kicked it around a bit and they're just too much on the sedan (not mention my X) without camber and tire gymnastics.

But...I think he's said it before: 'where there's a will...'

(Damn, though, those pieces are baaaadddd!!)

Look at that pic of the Acura with the BMW behind it. The Enkei's on the NSX look strong and mechanical. All about aggressive driving/racing. Then immediately look at the rims on the BMW. Attitude dial's back, and an artistic appreciation of design settles in.

Lots of philosophical BS, sure. Still...
