Flat tire

I went to Toronto this Sunday to pick up my power steering rack for my g37xs, spend some time with my sister and left around 19:00 to start my 4 hours and 30 min commute back to Ottawa.

Approximately 1 h 30 min on the 401, I heard a loud boom, I thought I drove over something on the ground but didn't pay much attention. Around 21:30 I started to feel the car shake a bit so I drove to the nearest gas station that was on my way. When I arrived at the gas station I saw that I had a flat.
I then tried to put some air but the tired remained flat, decided to remove the tire for the spare and to my surprise this is what I saw.

I was wondering if Pirelli had warranty cuz those tires were bought 6 months ago?

Man, that looks like someone shot at it lol.
Here is Pirellis warranty page, it works for both US and Canada.
https://www.pirelli.com/tires/en-us/.../tire-warranty

Seems like if you hit a nail or glass or w/e, they wont cover it, only if the tire just blew up by itself.

Looks like you ran over a piece of rebar or something like that.

Happened to my sister. She drove over a piece of wood on the freeway and the tire burst the next day, it looked completely ripped up.

Nobody will warranty that unless you bought the extra road hazard protection package.

Try contacting Pirelli, you got nothing to lose, make sure you use the line "I don't know what happened" at worst case they'll say no and you'll be exactly where you are now.
Be happy your rim is OK, s**t happens

That's a road hazard, not a defect. If you have road hazard coverage you'll probably receive a prorated adjustment depending on how much usable tread life the tire has remaining. If you purchased tire replacement warranty it will cover a new tire for free.

I called pirelli yesterday but no one returned the call yet, the tire was bought at a tire shop for $175 but when I went there yesterday they wanted me to pay 300 for 1 tire or buy a set of 4 for $600, not going t happen lol.

I didn't buy no road hazard coverage, they didn't mention anything like that when I purchase the tires.
