winter rims

Want to buy rims for winter tires on G37x Sport sedan. Would appreciate advice on suitable after market brands with centre bore at 66.1 mm that are sold in Canada. Thanks from Cruiser

I think your best bet would be to post a WTB (want to buy) thread in our classifieds you have to have 5 posts, so make some replies on a few threads.
A WTB thread for 17" OEM Infiniti wheels should get a response, be sure to mention Canada in your thread title. Lots of members have these sitting in their attic
Otherwise check www.tirerack.com the wheels won't have 66.1 mm hub bore but they will sell you hub adapters so they'll fit snug.

Winter Wheels

Thanks BLNEWT. Perhaps I've been reading too much about the CB and after market rims - there are negative comments about lug centric with and without the hub centric rings. Someone made the comment that exact CB is available on after market but gave no information on brands. Where I live there are plenty of cars running around with lug centric only or with the rings and I don't hear dire stories about problems.

What I'd consider is using your current X wheels for winter tires and find a nicer aftermarket set for the rest of the year. That way you can get your winters on now and have some time to find the "perfect" wheel.

And if you're concerned about the hubcentric you could find a set of OEM coupe 19" for summer and run 245/40/19s all around. The coupe 19sd have a 1/2" stagger but running 245s all around will work fine (as long as you keep the slightly wider wheels in back).

As far as going lug-centric only, there's always a chance of vibration issues, and getting better aluminum adapter rings should eliminate or dramatically decrease it over cheap plastic adapters.

Not sure about aftermarket wheel vendors in Canada but might check our vendor section and regional folders and ask questions.
