Red sedan owner here. Without sounding all fantabulous HGTV interior designer-like, I think the red of the car makes enough of a statement/presence that an unconventional wheel color choice isn't needed to bring the wow factor.

I'm a fan of aftermarket wheels and think non-silver colors are best used where needed - on plain cars. A red G37 sedan doesn't need wheel color help. The red itself is hotttttt? enough.

They call it Vibrant for a reason.

But the OP is already shopping wheels, so recommending he not do that probably won't go over too well. And in that context, I suspect he's looking at those non-Sport 17" rims, and the fitment of those wheels/tires at OEM ride height, and probably not feeling what you're feeling about the car.

Awesome color notwithstanding.

Yeah, probably so. Mark me for the bronze vote then. Although with the planned blacked out chrome treatment I think the graphite might be the better option. Though dark wheels remind me of metallic brake pads and cheap rotors seen at autocross.

IMO (there I go again) this red G lost a little something when the chrome trim went byebye:

Other than that, black and gunmetal always look great on red!
Different car but I think the combo looks good.

Ah, good find and good example with close-enough red on a similar sedan.

Well that decides it for me... get the charcoal. Bronze on red is too pimpish.

That's a completely different Bronze FWIW, the matte bronze is much darker for less bling and a better blend.
Here's a coupe w/ a matte bronze

This is my current setup which I'm looking to change. I don't think the bronze is a good look on these cars. Especially with the chrome trim around the windows. If you're choosing between the bronze or a charcoal/darker silver. I'd say go with the charcoal colored wheels. I currently have Niches wheels on my vehicle. It's not to say I don't like them I just want to change the look of it. The previous owner had put them on the vehicle and I just want to start my own build to it.

Yeah, I think if you black out the window trim the bronze would blend better~the chrome, the small amount of black, the red body, and then bronze is too many colors.
TBH, blacking out the window trim w/ the black wheels would look better too on a red G, IMO.

Also the grill as well. Depending on which grill the OPs grill has it could be all chrome or the midnight grill..at that point I'd say black the whole grill out if OP does end up going bronze.

This is a much better look than the audi example above. I personally think all gold/bronze wheels look a bit "pimpish" like R does, but I can get behind this setup your rocking. Looks nice

Thanks for the compliment. Hopefully I'll change the wheels soon once I find something I like..I was thinking Vossen wheels but they want 2 arms a leg and kidney for those wheels..

Damn, I really wasn't going to go bronze, but I think I may be headed in that direction especially after seeing this...
