Need advice: Should I buy Falken ZIEX.
Hello guys,
I purchased a 2011 G37 Coupe that came with 2 brand new Falken ZIEX ZE950 size 225/50R18 in front. Car has 34000 miles and I think rear wheels are still factory denlops, they are almost bald.
I was thinking that should I get another pair of Falkens to match fronts or change all four tires to any better brand?
I am asking this because I couldn't find reliable review about these falkens.
PS: stock rims.
Thanks for reading

Any tire rated for 65,000 miles is junk when it comes to a sports car. I'm only speaking about performance though so if longevity is your main criteria then they might be ok for you.

I've got them on my Miata and they've been great tires. I rarely drive the car in less than ideal weather so I can't speak to that. Are there better tires? Sure! But as far as bang for the buck, they're a good choice.

I live in south Florida so I would like to have decent wet condition control of my car.
I will swap these new front tires in rear and see how they grip. A couple of months back I was driving my g37 sedan (2012) at 70mph on turnpike in wet condition. I wanted to bypass a truck so I pressed the gas and caused my wheels spin, stability control turned on even at that speed.
Since then I lost my confidence of WOT in wet conditions. I was on goodyears but really dont know which model.

I would get new tires for the rears. Due to handling. You always want new tires on the rear.
I personally don't like Falken Ziex they had issues from 512 all the way to 912. The 950 looks a little more promising, but the last few models they made always had edge wear.
I'm a firm believer of having good tires due to the fact that the tires stop the vehicle not your brakes. The brakes assist in stopping, but the tires are whats on the pavement to help you stop.
