Lug Nuts

I have searched a bunch on here, but cannot find a clear cut answer to this question. What is the best option for getting black lug nuts on OEM rims. I know everybody will say dont use aftermarket lugs, but is there a way that anyone is familiar with to get OEM lugs black? Paint obviously isnt a great option as it will just scuff up the first time you put them on, and i thought of powdercoat, but then figured it would be to thick to get a socket on. Any recomendation?

A long time ago I wanted blue lugs for my other car... I bought a high heat engine enamel, painted the lugs and baked them in the oven to cure the paint..... when I installed them, I put a plastic bag between the socket and lug... It looked alright, but I chipped them when removing the lugs to go back to chrome lugs a when I was sick of the blue lugs a few years later.
iirc I used a slightly larger socket to compensate for the bag... maybe a 7/8 socket instead of the 21mm

No chips or anything when you initially put them on? Also, when you removed them and DID chip them, were you using the same bag method, or just didnt care at that point?

Have the shop powder coat one to test out. I think it would still fit your socket.

Should be fine, if you look at the application chart in those listings it lists the Infiniti G37.

I've seen that be so far off before. Sometimes they are just relating to the threads. It looks about right though. I'll check out a lug when I get home. Thanks again!

Isn't it a bad idea to put aftermarket lugs on OEM wheels? I was just looking at this..

https://www.myg37.com/forums/wheels-...37-wheels.html

I'm looking at getting some burnt orange lugs but not after reading that thread.

That was referring to using tapered seat lug nuts on the flat seat OEM wheels.
The lug nuts that I linked are a flat seat w/ washer just like the OEM lug sets.

Those won't work you need the 12x1.25 it's a bit tougher to find in mag style, especially black for some reason
