Yes please, before considering Vossen, checkout other manufacturer.

One particular recommendation I have for you is Forgestar.

Forgestar Wheels Custom Rotary Forged Flow Formed Concave Performance Wheels

Their wheels are excellent in price, not outrageous $2k+ like those Vossen and the quality is much better than Vossen cast wheels. For $2k+, its better to get a used set of Volk.

The Forgestar F14 is a very attractive, very lightweight and very reasonably priced wheel. It comes in all kinds of offset configurations and sizes, as well as a variety of finishes. The Gunmetal finish is particularly tasty.

However, do not Google the phrase "forgestar F14 cracked". Just don't do it.

someone has to pay for the marketing juggernaut but I bet you can find horror stories for most any wheels including Rays/Volks.

No reason to be dishonest with yourself, you're paying for the look, absolutely nothing wrong with that, what you value in wheels is reflected in what you like or buy (in your case, aesthetics)

No doubt Vossen puts out very unique designs, but it's pretty commonly accepted that their prices are higher than most brands of similar build/quality (IMO)

Just trying to expose OP to other more cost effective options at a similar level to accommodate his budget

I understand the need to be defensive about opinions. It's a car forum, after all, so that kind of over-reaction to trivial topics is everywhere and every day. And obviously making broad, out-of-context assumptions about a person's values is an easy way to elevate self-image.

So I get it. And good luck with that.

Thanks Rochester for the recommendation, I'd look them up. They look stunning.

At the end of the day I look for good value, if Vossens are that overprice then looking at other options may be the best thing to do.

As far as there youtube marketing goes, they are top dog in that regard yeah? there vids are sick.

You're welcome. I got real close to selecting the F14, but passed because of the dearth of horror stories. However, in hindsight, take all that with a grain of salt, because I think there are a LOT of these on the market, so there are bound to be more complaints. Plus, they're incredibly light, and with lightweight cast rims, you run a risk of cracking. So just drive smart.

g'luck
