I dont have an X but from what I have seen on here you have to be very careful with the wheel diameter. It has to be very close to the original wheel diameter to no have any issues with things like traction control, etc. Maybe a X owner with wheels can chime in.

Very true^^ For RWDs you can get by w/ around 3% diameter difference front to back, w/ AWDs it has to be MUCH less variance, shoot for zero obviously, but under 1% for sure!

I have X and personally I would recommend to have square set up all around just because if the fact I heard things tweaking out with the abs and traction. So I didn't bother with staggared but someone with awd and is running a staggared set up can let us know.

What about spacing the stock wheels out flush with the fender, or close to flush? How hard would this be since it would require some serious spacers?

If I were to go aftermarket I would do 19x9.5 stance sc6 all around with a +35 offset. You could run a 245/40/19 tire and should have zero issues.
