It was 15* this morning, and it's snowing right now.

Argh... One head bang just doesn't cut it.

Again?! Hope that clears up for you soon. At least you were able to get some windshield time in yesterday I suppose.

It was 78 yesterday and is going to drop in the 60s today, guess I'll have to get out the California Duster for all the dust that's fallen lately
Sry J, couldn't resist.
The wait may be excruciating but well worth it, plus if it's any consolation I'd much rather live where you are right now.

Swift Springs are in shipment, so sometime in early May I'll be (gently) dropping the car. In the meantime, here are two pictures from this afternoon.

19" square at 19x8.5" would work out just fine for your AWD, with no issue clearing the little brakes. Maybe 1/4" poke with the 8.5" on the rear, and the fronts will be flush without a drop. Go for it, Zack.

VOSSEN only offers the one finish, and it's quite nice, IMO. If you want gun metal, you're going to have to have that custom painted by someone other than VOSSEN.

For fitment, you'll be wanting square, because AWD. And VOSSEN doesn't exactly offer a whole lot of fitment options (two, actually). So to slap on without fuss, you'd be ordering 19" x 8.5" +32, with the standard 5x114.3 bolt pattern.

Use GetYourWheels.com. They're selling them for $499/each, but I'm sure you can negotiate a better price, particularly if you're getting tires. Here:

GetYourWheels.com: Vossen Wheels Vossen CVT Wheels : Wheel and Tire Packages|Staggered Wheels|Custom Wheels|Luxury Rims

Lastly, VOSSENS are very expensive for what they are. So you'd have to really want them. (I really wanted these.)

Thanks. The Swifts are a gentle drop for the RWD Sedan: -0.8" rear and -1.2" front. That should make the gap pretty consistent front to back, and not require a camber kit or cause any rubbing. (Knock on wood.) As for heavy compression... well, driving habits will likely be a-changin'.

I'm hoping the rear pulls in a little, because those wide 10" rims are poking about 1/2" at a +42 offset. I've come to the conclusion (in conversation with blnewt) that VOSSEN very specifically intends their rims to be on dropped cars. At least, the bigger ones.

At the moment, the fronts are perfectly flush with the fender, albeit there's quite a gap. After the springs go on, I'm hoping the fronts camber in a little, after which I'll put 3mm spacers on the front, to add a little clearance between the front spokes and the Akebono BBK. Right now, there's only 3mm clearance as is, and it kind of freaks me out. So this seems like a good plan.

A pare of 3mm Spacers has been sitting here on my desk for the last couple weeks.

[edit] And here it is, dropped on Swifts:

The brakes are OEM equipment on the 6MT. The spoiler is optional OEM equipment. Both came with the car.

You're welcome, Zach. Welcome to the forum.

I saw you had some issues with the rear diffuser wrap, it looks great in that picture though! kind of makes me consider doing my liquid platinum that way. The 07-09 had a better looking rear bumper for the diffuser, but what can we do lol.

I love those wheels also!

Thank you. Yeah, when the bumper was first wrapped, the shop butchered the job. I was miserable. Took it to another shop, and they cleaned up the lines considerably. Unfortunately, doing so meant that the wrap around corners don't follow that gentle line that disappears as it drops to the bottom. That's my only complaint with the mod.

Otherwise, I think having that section in flat black looks excellent on any color G37 Sedan. If it ever tore or started to pull away, I'd have it redone (or painted) immediately. Love that look. It was something I was planning on doing to the car even long before buying it.

Car is looking good! I predict one more snow storm for you though. Just because you put your summers on.

The weight is not a big issue for you right. In my BMW car has a different kind of wheels and expensive too.
