Wheel Size and Hubcentric Rings

Hello,
Currently I'm running stock 17" rims and tires. I want to put on a set of 18" rims and from what I have gathered the stock tire size is 225 -50 -18. I have seen that some members are running 245-45-18.

Now for the questions:
Will 245-45-18 work on my stock 2013 G37X?
Does the difference in tire size have an impact on the speedometer reading?
Are there any pro's or con's between the two sizes?
How would I know if I needed Hubcentric rings and what size would I need?

Thanks for any help,
Willie

245/45/18 will be fine on your X, diameter is well within 1% difference so no worries and having more tire on the road will give the car a more planted feel. Infiniti hub bore is 66.2mm so just be sure the wheels you purchase have hubs at least that big, it they're bigger then you can get adapter rings from places like Tirerack, you don't absolutely need them but they will aid in centering the wheel and if you have a high speed vibration a centering ring might help.
