Smile First Post :) G37X coupe tire help

Hi Everyone,

I just joined the Infiniti family from BMW and need to purchase winter tires.

4x Michelin X-Ice 3 ,
Now Configuration :

Stock : 225/50/r18

I'd like : 245/50/r18 REAR
225/50/r18 FRONT

OR

245/50/r18 All Around Front + Rear
245/45/r18 All Around Front + Rear

Would really appreciate some advice

Thanks in advance

LOVE THE G37X COUPE 2009

Keep the same size all around for the AWD models otherwise your going to hate yourself later.

The 245/50/r18 will be a very very slight more soft ride. Otherwise it will be identical.

Oh and good choice with the x-ice! I love those tires, you can do anything with them!

If you want to keep the rolling diameter as close to stock as possible with 245s you'll want 245/45-R18 all around -- those tires will be within 0.66% of stock diameter. 245/50-R18s are 2.85% larger than stock, and I've read that a 3% or more delta from stock can cause the AWD system to throw codes. You can compare different tire sizes using the forum's Tire Rim Calculator.

Yep, those 245/45s will be great. I've read a few AWD guys having problems w/ diameter differences over 1% when they reach speeds over 80mph their VDC dash lights have been activated. It seems that the common 3% +/- diameter difference would be better to apply to RWDs and the +/- 1% for the AWD models.
BTW, welcome to the site!

Bump for clairty

if I go with the same tires, the Mich X- Ice, what size for me?
as I am sure my 2012 37x coupe has 19" wheels

is there a different size if I choose the Mich Pilot A/S ?

I believe the regular X coupe has 18" wheels and the XS has 19s but not sure,
If you have 18s you'd want 245/45/18, if you have 19s then it would be 245/40/19
