I just mounted my OEM 2004 G35X 17" rims on my 2013 G37xS today. I bought new tires for the wheels this fall. Ended up going with the General Altimax Arctic. A little research about this tire led me to that it is in fact the older Gislaved Nordfrost 3 winter tire design, just rebadged for US use. Fantastic tire, great design, and it is rated very highly. Up there with the more established names like blizzak at a fraction of the price. I have a friend with these on his A4 and his car will literally drive up the side of a mountain. I am very excited to try these in some deep snow and on ice. Oh and did i mention they are CHEAP? I bought my set for $425 shipped off of Discount Tire Direct in a 215/55/17 setup.
