09 Journey Sedan With Rays 370Z Wheels Fitment Questions

Hello all. I purchased some 370Z Rays wheels, the wheels came with 275/35s on the rear, they poke out past the fender, the tire is a bridgestone potenza, my car isnt lowered, is this normal or should i get a more narrow tire?

You probably should get a wider tire so the wheel does not poke out.

You should also includes pics for us to see.

Sorry for the confusion, the tire is whats poking out, its a 275/35 but according to my reserach alot of guys running the rays 370z wheels on their G37s are running the same tire...

here is what mine looks like...

Denis, looks like it'll just tuck inside the fender when you drop it, most 370z setups are dropped around zero fender gap and running non-corrected camber ( around -2) you'll go through rear tires quicker but that's the toll that you gotta pay

What springs would you recommend? This is my daily driver and Indiana roads arent the best, not looking to have to worry about every pothole or bump. I dont want to SLAM it either, just a slight drop. What do you think about going to a 265 tire?

It depends how much you want to budget for suspension, ideally an adjustable coil over w/full camber/toe pkg would be the way to go. This route w/ a mid-priced Stance coil would be about $1500-1600 plus labor, if you don't do the install expect another $200-300 and possibly more (this is a fairly easy DIY, but is a bit labor intensive so 4-5 hrs is about what you can expect to be charged). Also a 4 wheel alignment for another$125, but this route will get you the exact ride height and firmness you want. You can go w/ a milder Swift drop and possibly no camber help although it's best if you get at least the front A-arms since the OEM
Arms are fixed w/ no adjustability. So this route would be $300 for springs, 300 for front arms, 150 for rear arms (if needed) and 50 for rear toe bolt kit (again, if needed).
So in short, a bare minimum of $300 w/ no camber help all the way up to $1600 + alignment and install labor if you don't DIY. There are some good DIY links if you want them shoot me a PM.
Also, if it's possible you might get a couple friends to help compress one side of your suspension and see how the tire tucks, be nice to know

I can't figure out why my rears seem to poke out more then others users. WTF? Are all Rays 370Z 19x9 & 19x10?

From what I've seen yours have the same fit as the rest, most sets I've seen have been on lowered GS and that makes a big difference.

Have you experimented with rear fitment of the front rims? I know that leads you down the road of a PITA project, going square instead of staggered, and having to sell & buy half a set. But if that's what it takes to get where you want to be...

You might be able to find somebody on the 370z site wanting an aggressive square setup w/ all rear wheels that would be wanting a trade. This would be a lot easier in the long run, especially if you want to retain your stock suspension. I'd look into this option as it would be so simple
