G37X new tire suggestions?
hey guys,
I need new tires for my 2011 G37X AWD sedan (stock / base rims) and was curious what you guys have been popping on them? The stealership has the stock goodyears but wanted to see if there was anything better you all recommend?

I usually go for Conti or Pirelli but then again I live in in Socal. You know one tire that I was surprise with is Sumitomo it is very quiet and will last a long time the grip is not bad either.

Just put kumho tires on my 2010 G37 X coupe. Researched a bunch on tire rack and sears had a good deal. Much quieter than what came with the car and should last longer. Ran avout $1000 for 4 balanced and all.

I like my Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3's too. Although after a few miles on them I have to say they are a balance between performance and comfort. They stick so much better than the stock Dunlops I had on my 2011xS. They are a little noisy sometimes and they suck up bumps nice where I think a performance summer tire would be more unforgiving. I think they are the perfect tire if ultimate summer performance is not your goal. If it is see the first few posts in this thread. All around great handling with comfort and a little noise with my A/S 3 tires. I am still glad I got them as I live in Philly and will probably see some muck in the winter.

2013 g37x.. I just replaced my stock mediocre Dunlops with Michelin Primacy MXM4.. LOVE them.. I had tossed between the new Michelin Pilot AS/3 and the Primacys.. The Primacys are quiet, smooth, stick great, soak up bumps great and today first time out in big rain amazing in the wet.. I suspect the AS/3 is a lot like the Primacys but a bit more hard edged.. trading off a bit more stick and performance for comfort.. I choose the comfort route since even though I'm a fairly aggresive driver I don't think the G37x is as much a sports car as a sporty luxury sedan and I wanted to bring those qualities more to the fore..

I replaced my tires with the continental pure contact tires and wasn't happy with them at all. They had pretty mediocre traction but were quiet and had really good tread wear ratings.
I took advantage of the Continental satisfaction program and exchanged them for the extreme contacts. The difference is huge! way better traction stopping and cornering and they're just as quiet.
For reference I had about 1600 miles on the Pure contacts over about a month and I've had the extreme contacts for about 2 weeks and 600 miles

I went with the General G-Max AS-03 in a wider tire for the 17" rim. 245/50/17. I have an 09 G37x. It handles way better but gives up some quietness. From the back of my G the wider tires really give the car a more aggressive look. 225/55/17 tires just aren't enough for a car with 328HP. General is made by Continental and the G-Max tire is almost identical to the Conti DWS. Tires cost me $540 mounted and balanced. I can take some pics if you would like to see how the wider stance looks. Also, the 245/50/17 size is totally in the range for the G37x stock 17" rims. *per Tire Rack and Fort Wayne Infiniti
