I would say Bridgestone Potenza RE960 A/S Pole Position or Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3's.

I think the Pilot's have better dry performance; but I'm guessing the Bridgestone's are better in the snow.

I am two days into two different tire swaps on my Journey sedan.
Replaced the stock GY with Dunlop Signature II's. BIG MISTAKE
They had some nice reviews and all, but were way too soft of a sidewall and the car handled like a Lincoln Town Car! My wife drove 1 mile to lunch and noticed!
I took advantage of the Dunlop "ride and try" and swapped them for some Cooper RSA3's.
I love the Cooper RSA3's thus far. The car handles great etc.
I did go plus zero. Meaning from 225/55/17 to 235/50/17. The tires look great with a slight bulge. I will admit I am one day and maybe 20 miles into them, although a 1k mile trip is coming up this weekend.
Right now Cooper has a $60.00 rebate I believe. These are NOT sold on Tire Rack therefore no reviews there.
I have no affiliation, just passing this on.

Pretty happy so far with my Bridgestone Potenza RE970AS Pole Positions. Had them on since January and they have good grip, though they aren't the quietest tire I've ever had.

I am about to purchase new tires for my 2011 G37. I have been debating between the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3 and the Michelin Primacy MXV4 / MXM4.

A new set of Hankook Ventus S1 noble2s (seriously who the **** comes up these names) were installed on my G37x I purchased from a dealer last week.

They're a bit 'squishy' in hard cornering but amazingly quiet, almost too quiet during spirited driving. I like a little 'screech' when I'm driving hard.

That's about all I can say so far as I'm a new owner so I don't have much background with different tires on the car FWIW.

had a set of Bridgestone Potenza RE970 AS Pole Position tires installed today at Discount Tire. I pulled the trigger because they had a $100 mail in rebate over labor day weekend. I have only 3 miles on them so I cannot comment but the tires received favorable reviews.

They also had a "Manager's Special" sitting in the corner for a set of 4 lightly used (looked brand new to me) General Tires G Max 235 40 R18 for $400 out the door (installed, fees, taxes). That's a pretty sweet deal if you want to go a little wider on your 18" sport rims.

This was at the Discount Tire in Carol Stream, IL (West of Chicago).

I went with Nitto Motivo's in August and I'm very happy with them.

getting the Pilot AS/3 Thursday in 235 55 17. little wider then stock but not much more. had MXV's on my charger. very predictable handling, very very smooth and quiet. not summer handling but very gradual with little slip.

I just oredered the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3 from Costco and will have them installed next week. (FYI Costco is running a $70 rebate on purchase of 4 Michelin tires through the month)

Any idea if it is necessary to replace the TPMS valve stem when you purchase new tires? I am finding conflicting information. Thanks!

You can't just replace the TPMS valve stem, you need to replace the whole TPMS assembly which will cost you about $250 for a set of 4 that are made by the same company that makes them for Nissan/Infiniti.

The average battery life of the TPMS is 5 to 7 years, but that can vary due to frequent on-off cycling of the TPMS, tire pressure sampling frequency and temperature extremes. You can use this as a guide as to whether you want to get new TPMS installed with your new tires.

Since it was mentioned earlier, how wide are the stock 17s? Are 235s the popular upsize choice? Still looking/hoping for some oem 19s to turn up close.

Stock 17s are 225/55. As far as what size 19s to get, that depends on several things like your rim width and whether you want to run a staggered or square set-up.

+1 for the Michelin Primacy MXM4's. Very quiet and comfortable ride. Decent traction, although you won't be getting the same performance as all-out summer tires.

I moved the TPMS from my OEM setup and used them on my aftermarket tires/wheels. I think most places use a kit to migrate them for cheap.

My 2004 Armada is still using the original TMPS (10 years).

Just ordered a set of Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3's for my new 2013 G37x through TireRack.

The car has the Performance Wheel and Tire package with the underwhelming Dunlop Sport Maxx tires installed, so I splurged for the early upgrade.

Oh and rebate is through Michelin not Costco, but anyway it expires tomorrow so had to jump on it quick for the $70.

How do you like the tires?
