gotcha, thanks, I feel like the G sedans never really came with Great wheels, but the maxima, altima (SER), G coupe, M all had there fair share of nice wheels oh well...

I disagree, I think the Sport rims I got on my 2008 G37 Coupe look better than current coupe rims, of course IPL is nicer

I actually like the rims, I simply cannot get over the tail lights, they scream Hyundai sonata to me (maybe with a hint of KIA optima mixed in).

as a true G fan I gotta agree you on that. The rear just doesn't look that attractive as current G could offers the distinguish from traffic.

The current G has the front curve, the rear end looks v shaped.

The new Q doesn't have any of these elements that are truly attractive. maybe a bad design? but hope later could gets better.

I can agree that the rear of the Q50 may be on the bland side, but I think where its going to shine is when they are lit up at night, pun intended (Ha! lol). They definitely will have an unmistakable look at night.

Not so much...I was following one on the road (prob a test car or an exec. it had manufacture plate) and it still looks kinda bland with the lights on. In fact, all their models do now. The rear lights on the current M, FX, and JX are all bleh.

The taillights on the Q-50 are almost identical to those on the JX, I love the tailights on my G37 with the circles I wish they would have payed homage and done a evolution to that design.

Agreed. The circular taillights are unique and it would have been nice for Infiniti to continue the trend.

Jalopnik just did a hands-on review: 2014 Infiniti Q50: First Drive

A somewhat depressing summation, and rather what I was expecting:

Sure, it looks cool, it's rather nice to sit in, it's remarkably well-equipped it's and a dream sedan for any gadget lover. But due to the lack of low-end torque, the unwilling-to-perform automatic gearbox, computer-simulated sport steering, its too-quiet engine, and maybe even a lack of soul, the Q50 is never going to be a car you look forward to hooning. It's not a car that makes you want to take the long, twisty way home from work.

Infiniti nailed the tech. They just didn't add enough testosterone.

Looks like the reviewer didn't fall in love with it, calling the front Lexus GS lookalike and the side 3-Series/Altima, the rear a Mazda 6, really a Mazda 6, everyone else has been saying Hyundai Sonata which I agree with but I guess it's a little bit of both.

Someone on this thread or another mentioned they were waiting for a 2014 so they could make there purchase on a new G, but they wanted a Manual, well this car doesn't come in manual, at least for this year, it says they will in future, just not now.

Engine is same and has got quieter and that makes the silent growl not as fun to drive with

Steering by wire system is too electronic n less on the road

The lane assist is too out there and makes you feel disconnected from the road.

So it seems it's not a drivers car per say, I would have expected a infiniti to have done more if they were engineering a whole new model and car but it's just a G37 with new technology added in which gives it the cool factor but driving wise leaves things lacking and makes it feel same as a G37

Personally the car looks nice and aggressive in front, the back makes me miss the G37 rounded and more aggressive look with round tail lights.

The interior does look a lot nicer and has more of a luxury and modern look to it

And wow they got rid of the analog clock! OMG! They realized its not 1990 anymore lol

This might be a start for infiniti but with a totally new engineered model that's your bread and butter to help revamp your whole lineup and introduce the letter Q for all the new models, it doesn't make anyone go WOW Infiniti stepped up its game, kind of sad but that's ok my 2008 G37 coupe still can keep up with the new model, even though the Q60 coupes aren't gonna be out for 2 years.

Everyone's review seems pretty low about the new Q50, I hope Infiniti is just getting the game started and maybe a Q60 Sport IPL will have some Mercedes twin turbo in it, wishful thinking isn't it.

I have a feeling the car will grow on people just like the accords take a while to grow and a lot of new models do, but I'm ok with it not looking as sexy as my G37, anyway the 2014 Q60 is G37 Coupe Rebadged

The q50 is pretty bad looking IMO I was up at our local dealership BS ing with some guys I know and looking at the q50, it look like a boring car it's really sad to see that infinit replaced the 37 with this. I loved infiniti and now I doubt I would ever buy another one. Just so disappointed. It's screams Mazda. I don't understand how anyone would be impressed by this car.

That's my opinion only.

It not only screams Mazda but a piece of every Asian make out right now. Infiniti used to be unique, even a bit quirky at times but never seemed to be a follower. Times they are a changin'....................
