Wife drove these in snow and ice today...no issues. Well worth the money in my book.

Howver, you should race my G37x in the snow with the General Altimax Arctics. I was out in Stillwater last night in that snow hill climbing the unplowed roads that lead up the hill. My G is like a mountain goat now.
No thanks, I know my limits (or I should say, the AS/3's) and going against true Winter tires would be futile. I had a pair set of Blizzaks on my 528i Wagon and that thing went through whatever I wanted to in the Winter. I just really hated changing from Winter to Summer tires so much, that's why I chose these. Pretty good in the Winter, and from what I hear, great in the Summer. Although, climbing unplowed hills in Stillwater does sound like fun...beautiful town.

yea, the stock Dunlop SportMaxx really suck on slushy / ice snow. I had tons of understeer during this winter.
traction wise, is ok due to awd, but making a turn is a challenge

My experience with these tires...

I've had these on my 2008 G37S Coupe for 9000 miles. Using 245/40's in the front, 275/35's in the back.

First, I'm a conservative driver. No different than with previous tires. 35 psi all around.

At the 9000 mile mark the rear tires are bald, and the fronts are at around 40% worn.

Unacceptable.

I'm in the process of trying to obtain a pro-rated warranty claim refund on the rear set due to this.

Going to move the front 245's to the back since that's the stock rear tire size and buy new 225 fronts this week. Cheapest route for now otherwise I would not buy these again because for a 40000 mile tire to wear out this fast is ridiculous for the money they cost.

Previous Hancook Ventus V-12 tires went 21000 miles before all four wore out around the same time.

Just my nickles worth.

Hey, I got these put on mid-december and to be honest the tires are not great in the Snow/Slush. Making turns the car will slide (not always). I feel like the traction isn't great. Not sure if this is a good A/S tire.

I've been very happy with my A/S 3's. I had them put on about 6 months / 8k miles ago with great tread wear, solid dry grip and fantastic wet grip. We had a small amount of ice accumulation here in Baltimore a couple of days ago and the tires held up well, but nothing like true snow tires are going to give you. Grip moving is fine, when stopping or trying to, thats the huge advantage snow tires present IMO.

I had a set of Michelin PSS get down to 3/32nd in @6k miles. Got a $170 credit per tire (rear stock size on G37S Sedan). I am told it has happened before - maybe a 'bad set of tires'. Fronts are wearing well...

FWIW, my previous tires were A/S Plus's (the immediate predecessor to this A/S 3). Had them in 245/40-19 front and 275/35-19 rear and they lasted me 53k miles. I was quite impressed with the longevity. For some reason, I don't think the A/S 3's are going to last as long, but then again I'm back on the stock sport 18 sizes.

I'm at 18k on my AS3s, and the rears are nearly shot. This is a huge disappointment since I also drive conservatively and expected great mileage out of these. The tires are now trammeling which I hate. My last set were Bridgestone 960s and I got 35k and still had some tread left when I swapped to the AS3s. The AS3s wear faster than my original BS RE050s which are summer tires...I got 21k out of those. The only positive thing I can say about the AS3s is they ride well even down to single digits temps.

so i have a 2013 g37xs with the dunloph sport maxx 225/50/r18. i want something with a smoother ride but still handles decently. how does the as3 michellins compare with primacy mxv4s vs hankookventus v4s? I always hated the dunlophs thought they handled oddly not progressively. made me sort of regret getting the awd sport package.

I have the Michelin Primacy MXV4s and love them. I wanted the A/S 3 tires but decided to go with the longer-wearing Primacy tires. Handling is great, they are definitely quieter than the stock tires, and better in the snow. Can't comment on hankook.

Why would you buy tires for a minivan and put them on a sports sedan?

I bought my car with 37k miles, and it had Primacy MXV4s and I couldn't stand them. They don't feel like a performance tire at all, handling was not great with them. I took them off for the winter when I mounted my Michelin X-ice winter tires on them, which felt nearly the same as the MXV4s. Now have Toyo Proxes4 which I am actually very happy with, but it's hard to compare because I changed rim size to 19s from 17s.

so i pulled the trigger on the as3 last thursday from tire rack got the z rated tires. I finally installed them this wk on tuesday so far its nice. i barely have a 100miles on them but so far seems alot smoother and a bit quieter than the stock dunlop sport maxes. tires are pretty cool asymetric design--good so you can rotate in many ways and also is non directional. since im in my tire break in period i havent really pushed any handling limits. although i did notice better braking immediately. im sure the primacy tire is quieter but with my limited experience on the as3--zrated its a smooth relatively quiet tire with good handling. il update more once i get more handling experience once its more broken in.
