Had mine on now for about 3,000 miles now and I'm happy I upgraded so soon after leaving the lot. These tires in the stock 18' size make the car handle far better than I was use to. Cornering is flatter, grip is excellent in all road conditions so far, and highway ride is smooth, compliant and responsive. Soon I'm sure i'll get to test them in the snow and I expect no less. The longer test will be tread wear but so far I have no doubts. Do yourself a favor and upgrade to a best-in-class tire like the A/S 3's and see what you have been missing...

These perform well in the snow and ice we experienced over the weekend on our g37x sedan.
245/45/18 on 350z anniversary wheels (18x8.5) lowered on swift springs.

Also perform exceptional on wet and dry roads in the colder climate. Leaps and bounds over the oem tires.

Getting mine installed Thursday..Unfortunately at the moment the V-rated ones are back ordered with no target date of re-stocking so I bit the bullet and went with the W-rated. I can't wait to get these garbage Dunlops off my car and really feel the true grip. Super excited!

Lesson learned though, living where I live, having snow tires are great and going forward on my next car I will have a dedicated set of winter wheel/tires as I did for my previous coupes and nice performance tires for the summer.

On all four wheels or are you running staggered? Just curious.

But these are allseason tires we are talking about so really they are neither winter only or summer performance...these are both you know

Mine aren't so hot in the snow. I felt much more confident in an Audi A4 with all-season tires. Looking at Blizzaks...

My G came out of the garage yesterday to the remaining 5" of 11" that fell and the tires were fine for A/S tires on slushy side roads and snow covered but already-traversed driveways with some inclines.

I like them! I have about 5k on them so far, no complaints at all.

I used mine today, brand new tires with 200 miles on them in New England's first snow storm. They drove well in the slushy conditions as well as some snow but its not the same as blizzaks, obv with an all season tire you're not going to have that sort of traction like that of snow tires but they are fine for now. I like them, great in wet weather and great in dry weather, no complains thus far.

I ordered 4 of these from Tire Rack and received them on Friday. Unfortunately, one of them looked like someone had put it on a lathe and held a wire brush to the outside two treads and put a good gouge in it. I immediately called Tire Rack and they immediately sent a new one which arrived yesterday...no harm, no foul. I have ordered a lot of tires from them and this was the only time I had a problem with one so, I can't complain.

I will try to put these on tomorrow so I can give them a test in the snow on Thursday (we're suppose to get 1-3"). They will have to be better than the Hankook V4's that the dealer put on right before I bought it (lease return w/29,000 miles), besides the alignment was way off and it wore down the insides of both passenger side tires. I will update when I can.

So I installed them last night (4 hrs !!) and had some minor issues during the process. The PIS tire pressure sensors have the plasic nuts that hold them on to the rim and here in MN the salt in Winter does a number on those. I ended up replacing the nuts on 3 of 4 air pressure sensors (lukily, O'Relly Auto parts had 3 tire pressure senors kits in stock for $ 4.99 ea. Apparently, this is a common problem with these plastic nuts, at least here in MN.

Well, after the 4 hrs of fun, I was able to actually test these in real world driving in snow & ice and wet conditions on the way home (46 miles) and I must say, they are heads and shoulders better than the Hankooks. It tracks straight now, has a smoother ride, and best of all has WAY more grip in all conditions !! Woohoo, the great taste of success ! Hopefully longterm will be just as good. Well worth the money IMHO.

Just a small update on the tires. STILL GREAT ! I have put about 500 miles on these things in all kinds of snowy/icey crap and they have performed wonderfully. Mind you, they are no Blizzaks, but they aren't meant to be. It's amazing the confidence these have given back to me in driving in Winter. Those Hankook V4's should be labeled one season tires (Summer dry only).

On that note, everyone have a very Merry Christmas !!

I had the Hankook V4ES on my old 08 G and I can't imagine driving in snow with those.

Howver, you should race my G37x in the snow with the General Altimax Arctics. I was out in Stillwater last night in that snow hill climbing the unplowed roads that lead up the hill. My G is like a mountain goat now.
