Vossen CV-5 10.5 +45

Thanks to Diego@Vossen I took the plunge on a set of CV-5's in a 20x10.5 fitment all around. I went with +45 offsets and 15mm spacers to make it +30 all around. I wanted something with not too much poke as that is what the +25 and the +15 setups were but I knew I had to go concave both front and rear!!!

My wife drove the car home from the tire shop as I had to drive the SUV filled with the oem wheels and tires. She was worried with the aggressive setup (for her) but when we got home she said it drove just like the oem's.

Got there at 10am and there were 3 GT-R's in the parking lot and 2 inside the bays getting worked on...

SUV filled with Vossen boxes with oem wheels and tires.

Ahhhh fresh install.

My wife driving the car home (she's the best!!!)

Got it home to do a full detail on the new tires and wheels.

Look at that rear wheel gap!!!

I say perfect fitment but I'm running 26" fender height right now... I may go lower but not as low as Diego... Maybe 25.75"

15mm Ichiba hubcentric spacers +45 Vossens and no vibrations at all.

Love this look! Cv5 are the best looking Vossens.
And best to invest in some wheel locks

Great combo & perfect fit, that shot on the road is really
That dual concave setup is tough to pull off & you did it to perfection.
Those are some sharp wheels.

Vossen doesn't make these closer to the offset you wanted so you would not have to run spacers?

To run 10.5 inch wheels in front you have to run a minimum +30 offset to clear the sport akebono brakes. Vossen does make 10.5 offsets in +45, +25 and +15.

I spent weeks looking at all the threads on the forum and all the pictures of different offsets and went with a +45 and 15mm spacers because I wanted to run something with less poke and more rubber than 255/30. I was actually on the verge of buying 275/30 rubber all around but I took the safe route and went 265. If I keep the car long enough for a new set of rubber I think I would go for 275's all around as I think at my height it would fit with no rubbing.

Going to go for a full alignment soon to see how far I can get it to spec.

BTW, how much gap between the spokes & the front calipers? Might have had a tough time w/ 275s in the front if your camber currently is over -2 and you want to keep it in spec.

There has to be at lest 5mm between the caliper and the wheel. To the eye the camber doesn't look bad at all at the front but I'll get exact numbers soon and post them up. The rear camber looks to be more negative but I'll get the alignment shop to get them as close to OEM specs as possible.

I may drop the fronts another 1/4" or 1/2" this week though....
Deigo made me do it

Thanks guys!

I have Volk LE37T's before and boy were they light. The Vossens are comparable to the OEM 19's but look better than any other wheels that I've had before! Some guy in a 4 door GM honked me on the hwy and actually gave me the thumbs up. Never had that before.

Anyway more pics of the shop...
The GT-R's were track cars as they looked to be well used and abused. Not like the spotless G's that we see.

Custom painted Brembos with 285's up front and I think 315's in the rear. Look at all that curb rash...

Goes to show you that some people with fast cars actually use them on the track.

Now the top secret pics inside the shop. 1/2 white/black wrap GT-R with some heavy mods in the engine bay. I couldn't get close to the one in the back. The E92 M3 and 1M looked very nice too.
