New Rubber options

Well the time has come to Slap some new rubber on the 19s, and I'm having a hard time deciding which ones to get. I have decided that a summer set and a winter set is better than an all season set for me.

I commute 40 miles a day round trip, 85% highway, average speed at 65 mph.

Things that matter most.
Dry/Wet performance.
Hydroplaning Resistance
Ride/Noise
Steering Response

I have narrowed it down to these 4 options for price and class.

Hankook Ventus V12 evo K110
BFGoodrich g-Force Sport COMP-2
Dunlop Direzza DZ101
Sumitomo HTR Z III

If you are going to do a summer tire set and a winter tire set, then get the Michelin Pilot Super Sports for the summer with a +1 configuration on the stock rims.

You said 19's, so I assumed you have the sport rims with a staggered setup.

I should have said "+0".

If you are 225/45/19 front and 245/40/19 on the rear, do a "plus zero" size and go 245/40/19 on the front and 275/35/19 on the rear.

No no no, my bad. I have the 19 wheels and im running 245/40/19 currently all around. These are going on my maxima. I forgot to mention that part.

I have Coupe 19s that came from a Coupe X going on the maxima for the summer.

Look into the Continental DW. It's a little more affordable than the PSS, rides comfortably and, at least according to TireRack, performs a little better in the wet.

Two different classes there, max perf summer and ultra high perf summer. The ultra high tend to be a bit better tire in wet due to the compounds and tread depth of most. Higher up the perf food chain the less wet and more focus on dry/steering response.

I would toss out the Dunlop... average really. Between the V12 and Sumitomo, there's not a lot of difference at all there. However, I would have to give the slight upper hand to the Sumitomo.

The B-Stone RE760 is also a good recommendation. They will last a bit longer, ride better/quieter, and does well in wet. Those are quite popular as a daily driver sport tire.

So you are saying the Sumitomo gets your recommendation? This is for DD highway use. I got a toy in the works that gets all the fun stuff.

If this is a dd car then I would move into the RE760. Still enough to play with on the highway but will reward you with longer life and better ride.
