Curb rash question

I have a 2013 G37 Coupe 6 MT with the hyper silver finish on my wheels. Got some curb rash. Are my wheels painted with hyper silver finish then a clear coat? Best way to remove the curb rash? Thanks.

I believe it's just paint. I just had one of my wheels refinished and all they mentioned was painting it. That said, the hypersilver is a multi-step painting process that isn't as simple as a respray. I tried doing it myself first and couldn't find any color that was even close.

Best thing to do is get in touch of a wheel repair place. They'll fix the curb rash and probably will re spray/refinish the wheel for you.

Call the Stealership and talk to your sales rep or service mgr. I too had a few scratches and got the number for the guy they used and was fairly priced for the one Rim. $110 total and looked like new...

Best of luck!

I just got my 08 coupe and all 4 rims were dinged up. My Service manager gave me the name of the guy that does his and he came to my house and did all 4 for $65/tire. Would have been $75 for 1-2.

From what I remember it was paint and clearcoat but they look brand new now

I don't have 1000 miles on my car yet and I curb rashes the hell out if my rear passenger. All good ideas. I think I'll see if I can get this done.

Yes, 3 stage Hypersilver.

Grey primer.
Black base coat.
Silver.
Clear.

Hard to match.

Here in LA only 1 guy gets it close. (Son Tran)
