Hey guys just a question as I am confused
a 255/35/20 tire on a 20X10.5 offset = 30 rim
How stretched will this be? Confused here just trying to get a visual or measurable definition.

I assume you meant +30 offset. A 255 on a 10.5 will be quite stretched but is very common. Your sidewalls instead of going straight up w/ a standard mount will angle out from the tread block to the wheels edge, this also leaves the wheels edge unprotected by any tire protection rib. Here's a pic of a 255 on a 18x10.5

But that little rib of rubber offers just minimal protection, better than nothing, but the best thing to do is avoid curbs at all costs. I don't park at the end of the line where there's curbs, I go a bit wider around curbed corners, etc and the wife is also following suit

I'm seeing most of the Enkei are cast wheels vs TSW rotary forged. The TSW shows about 4lbs lighter than the Enkei. Is there a reason people avoid TSW?
Thanks - Matt

Thanks Brad! I came across the Enkei TY5 in 8.5 +25. Based on the wheel calculator that should be pretty similar fitment to the 9 +30 right?

Enkei also has a rotary forged line (aka as flow forming and a couple other terms), these are lighter and stronger than traditional cell castings, but it's still not a forged wheel, just an improved casting process.
Another advantage to that process is the spokes don't need to be as thick as regular cell cast so it's easier to make wheels that clear big brakes
And yes, an 8.5 +25 will be just about identical at the fender as a 9 +30.

If you are planning on running that 10.5 +30 offset on a sedan that's about the widest tire you can run without running extra camber. If you are in a coupe you could run a 275 width tire and this would offer a more standard mount w/ better wheel protection.

So I'm looking at the same wheels as Waste86:
https://www.myg37.com/forums/build-t...s-fi-tt-3.html
the WedSport SA-15R in 19x9.5 front and 10.5 rear. I'm lowered about .5" in the rear but stock height or higher in front. This is limited by the adjustment range on my tein coils. Proposed tire sizes are:
275/35/19 front
305/30/19 rear
The question I have is with the offsets. I'm definitely going with the +45 rear. Waste86 has +35 front but I've seen others with +45 front

I'm leaning towards the +45 since it has less scrub radius:

Wheel specs just in case:

Is there any reason to go +35? Which one will fit better in general?

Are you not wanting to go any lower on your Tein coils? If you're only dropping .5" in back and basically stock height in front you'll be outside their optimal height settings which may result in compromised performance and possibly shortened damper life (not sure on that one).
At any rate, that's a lot of tire in front so you may want that +45, only issue I could see is you may have real tight clearance to the inside (the upper section of the steering knuckle) so you may have to run a bit narrower tire there. Rear should be ok, the inside clearance may come into play there too on a +45 w/ a 305 tire, I've read that there's about a finger clearance there w/ those specs, so that should be enough
