Sorry they're not on Vossens G37 community. And yes, my entire car is that dirty right now. Long story...

This is posted as a cautionary tale. Don't procrastinate endlessly when it's time to get new tires. Otherwise you'll order new tires and be ready to get them the following day when this happens on the way to work. I must say that the sidewalls held up very well when it blew, it almost felt like a run flat tire.

Be smarter than I was kids. Check your tires often. And when you see they're worn, don't procrastinate getting new ones. Blowouts aren't fun. Or safe.

Actually no, not usually. A few toward the very end. Mostly unintentional because I first noticed they were this bald when driving in moderate rain and the tail end wouldn't stay behind me. Then one or 2 gratuitous magnificent burnouts after they were shot and the new ones were on the way. Due to the steel belts being exposed on the inner shoulder from toe wear I'm told by the guy behind me that it showered sparks as they spun. Wish I had video of that, I couldn't see it.

When I checked and it was at the wear bars I put off buying new tires. Then forgot for a while. Then got a reminder when I drove to work on very slick roads. Then ordered new ones and did a bit of hooning to get them in the conditoin pictured.

No need, I did that myself because it was appropriate.

My wife kept having a tire go down on the Z and would have the guys at her work put air in it. They told her everythime "your tires are bald!" she forced me to get new tires on the car well before mine looked like yours but if it was up to me I may have been in the same situation! Glad something bad didn't happen to you when it blew. Thanks for the words of wisdom, I hope it helps others not to do the same.

Those are some bald tires! Looks like you got every penny out of them. Good lesson on what not to do...Glad you're safe and nothing catastrophic happened.
