Wheel Width and Offset Question.

I know the LE's are about 26 up front and almost 28 in the back. I put them on a scale when I took them off. So I added weight (a lot!) switching to 20x9 vossens and adding more rubber. I'm shaving a boat-load of weight going back to stock size (18 x 8.5 all around instead of offset and much lighter wheels) and 245/45/18 tires (less rubber).
My mpg took a nice dip when I went up. I'm hoping it takes a corresponding hike when I go lighter.

I don't have the tires for them yet, so they aren't mounted. Looking at them, I am wondering if they are going to fit right... +30 offset, looks like they'll clear the bbk, but may stick out?
I dunno... just have to trust that they'll fit. I entered all the vehicle info and it says they'll fit. I'll post pics and a review after I get them on and broken in. 8^)
(sorry for the blatant threadjack, OP)

If its not too much trouble, can you please post pic when you have them rpf1 on. Was considering these as an alternative to volks gt30 then I found Rays 57xtreme that cost just little more than rpf1 in the similar configuration which is19 x 8.5 on all four. Not sure if 19x9.5 will post a problem and clear bbk. I like the fat look. What's the pro/con going to wider wheel other than weight?

So i finally ordered my f14's today, 19x9 front and 19x10 rear. The rep suggest that i go 245/35/19 front and 275/35/19 for tires to not risk tripping the VDC. I was planning on going 245/40/19 front and 275/35/19 rears. what do you guys think? Will the 40 sidewall really trip the vdc over the 35? Should i go what i orginally planned for or be safe and take the rep's suggestion? i am a bit confused over that right now...>.< someone please help clarifiy this. THANKS!

Depends on the tire really.
The spec that matters is the ratio front to rear of the revolutions per mile. This spec is listed on all the product pages on Tire rack.
The stock G sport sedan setup results in a f/r revs per mile ratio of 772/780 = 0.990
You want to get as close to that as possible to prevent tripping the VDC.
Actual sidewall height is a factor of the aspect ratio (.4, or .35) multiplied by the width. So 245/35 will have a lower sidewall than 275/35. I agree that 245/40 makes more sense with 275/35 but you should check the specific tire specs as I indicated (not all tires are the same even if they are the same "size").
Hope this helps- I know it can be a bit confusing. Feel free to check in again if you need more clarification (or PM me).
