I second that.

Also the chance of a knock off cast wheel cracking under just driving stresses is greatly multiplied.

Thanks, guys...

Sadly, it wouldn't be the first time one of my attempts to help educate in a non-threatening manner earned a deletion on this forum. Que sera sera...

It's very unfortunate that it happens. It's also unfortunate that more people are unaware of the choices out there or how to go about getting quality JDM parts...myself included.

But I'm learning, and I have WPPJR30 to thank for the little bit of knowledge I have.

JDM parts are expensive, and are not for everyone. I have nothing against anyone who chooses replicas, nor will I ever speak bad if someone chooses to go the replica route or a combination of the two...but knowledge is power.

So, if you are in a crash you are gonna be concerned about which wheel ended up with the least amount of damage? You are going to get out of your mangled vehicle, take a look around at the carnage and say...... " look at that! My volks wheel is only bent, if I had a cheap knock off it would have been broken and shattered for sure! " either way, in all the pics in this thread the wheels are destroyed. It doesn't mAtter if it's bent, or shattered. By the time the vehicle has entered into a situation to cause that much damage to a wheel, no matter what the brand, the driver has lost control. The driver is at fault.

I should probably say that I don't really care about knock off wheels or quality wheels, I'm just stirring the pot.

In some situations, yea, you might be right. But in the video it shows the strength of the wheels...if that had been a replica wheel, instances lead us to assume that it would have cracked or shattered, therefore causing the car to possibly start rolling while underneath the 18 wheeler. My friend will swear up and down if it weren't for his Volks being Volks, he would possibly be dead right now.

This thread seems pretty weird. Is this turning into a replica v. Authentic thing again? Wtf is going on.

It was clearly explained to you why your posts were deleted in certain threads in the past, I don't understand you have to keep bringing this up and be so dramatic about it.

Because NO ONE likes to be censored.....especially when it comes to an opinion.

That's the thing, Sam. It was not explained to me. My posts were deleted in a non-sponsor/vendor thread in which I did not curse, I did not disrespect anyone, and I did not personally attack the OP. They were deleted just because someone did not like what I had to say or because someone was tired of the topic. Like I said, whatever...

G's come with nice rims stock, very good quality, I will never understand why people replace them with a lesser quality wheel.
