TPMS woes

Lets all jump in and give the new guy a hard time so in the future he won't learn.........Come on guys we all had to learn at some point or another. We all have had what others may deem a stupid question. We all have been bugged at one time or another by a safety feature.

I'm a big fan, and also a big hater, of TPMS.
Like I said, when it works, it is useful. But also, I've never blown a tire (knock on wood) and check my pressure regularly, and always have.
I hate TPMS due to the fact that the aftermarket sensors generally don't work well, and that makes it a PITA when you decide to get a 2nd set of rims. Then you are stuck with the options of having your TPMS light on all the time, spending $$$$$$ on the OEM sensors, or spending $$$ on aftermarket ones that will need constant resetting/resynching.
