Staggered Wheel Question for AWD coupe

Hey just wanted to check before purchasing a set of wheels.

I want to run a staggered setup of 20x9.5 F and 20x10.5 R. for an AWD coupe

As for offsets I wanted to run something kind of aggressive like in:

https://www.myg37.com/forums/picture...k-vs-work.html

so +10 F and +15 R.

My car is lowered on BC coils at the moment.

Are the offsets too aggressive? And if so, can the RWD models just run lower offsets than the AWD ones?

Also, which offsets would you guys recommend? My shop guy says that +25's should work and look flush without spacers and clear the BBK (the akebono bbk).

Lastly, for tires I've read that most of you guys that run an AWD staggered run a 245/40 F and 275/35 R.

Anyone running any stretched tires as well? Would like a 225/40/20 and a 255/35/20 work as well?

Thanks.

To run those offsets on your car you need 225/35/20 and 255/30/20 tires. The other sizes you mentioned their sidewall is too big which means they will rub. Plus it doesn't matter if you have a different AWD or RWD car to run low offsets you just need the right tires, lower car height, the right amount of negative camber.

The typical setup for staggered on AWD is 245/35R20 285/30R20 since they are essentially identical in their rolling diameter. That said, now way you can run tires that wide with those offsets.

Thanks for the input guys. If I follow sunny G's advice and run 225/35/20 and 255/30/20 stretching the tires would that work?

Using the calculator at the top of this forum I get a difference of -0.18" (-0.68%).

Not as ideal as 245/35R20 285/30R20 but still within the +/-3% difference range.

Any other ways to optimize the setup - I am open to running fatter tires at a lower offset as long as it still gives an aggressive look? maybe like + 25 all around? Would that work better?

Any people with the AWD coupes running staggered tires with low offsets? If so how low?

thanks.

ive helped a few people with this issue and they have ran the 225/35 and 255/30 and their cars run fine and no problems with the awd. My brother who has a 2011 IS350 AWD and ran staggered rims with no problems even after the lexus people were like it will destroy the AWD, but he put on 15000 miles to the car without a single hiccup.
If you want to run a more meaty setup I suggest raising the offsets a little and then you can get away with a 235/35 and 275/30 setup and maybe even the 245/285 setup depending on the camber adjustment. As you said it has to be within 3%, but for all intense purposes i would say 1%.
