What tires are ya'll running on your OEM 18s??

Just wondering what tires you are all running on your stock 18s?? And does anyone have pics of what they look like?

I had Pilot Sport A/S Plus and they sucked so much that im returning them and getting some Super Sport Michelins. I hear a lot of people have them on their 19s, but nobody has them on their 18s yet.

I never had issues running the pilot a/s. I've had them on my cars in all seasons and they have never failed me yet. Grips like hell in the summer and almost just as grippy in winter. Are you using them in heavy snow? If you are, you should consider switching out to full winter tires as your G is rear wheel. Just my .02

What makes you think the Michelin PSS would be any less successful on the 18s?

From what i'v been reading, they changed the tired from previous years and now they are just horrid. Mine don't grip at all. They feel like the tire is folding over, i get 0 traction in first or second gear, its all VDC kicking on and off, and on the highway the car feels like it is wandering. All these are new complaints with the tire after michelin changed something.

I'v never had a summer tire on anything smaller than a 19" wheel so im curious as to how they feel.

Got it.

I haven't tried the PSS in 18's but I wouldn't hesitate to run them if that was the option I was facing. Mine are on the coupe 19's and they have transformed the way she rides.

Some have complained about a soft sidewall that lends to folding over, but I haven't experienced this. The slight stretch on the rims using the factory width specs inhibits the amount of fold-over IMO. The taller 18" sidewalls may be more prone to it, but there's still a mild stretch with the factory specs there. I'd still run them.

Good luck with your decision

I have the Super Sports on my 18" OEM wheels, they transformed the car, super road holding and braking ability, fairly quiet ride except for the bigger expansion joints.
You won't be sorry.

What size are you running on your 19" wheels (I assume 8.5/9.5")?

Are you going to go stock size 225 50 18 and 245 45 18 or are you going to do some sort of +0 upgrade to like a 245 45 18 and a 275 35 18? Btw, not sure if that is very far off on the speedo or not.

I just looked at the price difference between stock size and +0 and its like $100 for a ton more width.

I'm more of a fan of get the recommended size in a stickier compound than putting too much tire on a narrow wheel. That's when the foldover effect gets amplified.

Im getting these in the stock sizes. My A/S plut were 235 and 255 and I wasn't a fan if that either. Rather be in spec.

OEM coupe wheels are 8.5"/9" actually. Running OEM coupe tire size too which is 225/45 up front adn 245/40 in back. This is essentially the same section width as the stock 18"s on the sedan, but the stickier compound *significantly* increased absolute grip with no noticeable increase in ride harshness, which is nice. The PSS are noisier on the freeway than the stock Bridgestones though... but not enough to bother me.
