G37S Factory Wheels and Tires WANTED!!

Thanks DashKid ... I kept re-reading my comments and each time they seemed clear to me :-) Agreed, I think (although I don't want to test it) my insurance company would cover damage done to an item that was in my house dwelling (which includes garage). Bottom line is the bigger picture, someone had the nerve to break into your garage and steal the rims/tires. A dog and a tactical shotgun are better protection than ADT (or any other) .... IMHO of course.

Oh yeah BTW did you have full coverage on your insurance OP? If you have liability then he might be screwed.

Sorry for your loss OP. thieves are the scum of the earth.

Agreed but a decked out tactical is lot more menecing looking that a plain Jane so hopefully it never has to be fired.

How did they get into your garage? People are crazy, stealing rims in the garage? Seems like the G wheels are popular, always worrys me when my car is out of the garage at night sometimes. As stated before, a tactical shotty might get the scumbag thieves.

Folks, not sure if the OP left his garage door open or not but thought I would share something I have had for years. I first got it because my kids were always leaving the garage door open. This issue just highlighted what I thought was an annoying feature could now be useful. You can adjust the time on how long it stays open, default is 4 minutes. After that time a series of loud beeps go off letting you know the door is closing. They are excessive (I'm sure for lawsuit issues) but unless a thief were familiar with the product, they would have no idea how to disable the alarms. I doubt they can get 4 rims off you car in 4 minutes (maybe). Anyhow, it works great.
Autocloser - Garage Door Timed Closer - Smarthome
You can disable it to have the door stay open until you decide when to close it.

Sorry for your loss. And sorry to be the bearer of some bad news. If your homeowner's insurance does not cover this, then your car insurance. This will fall, as many have indicated, under the Comprehensive part of your policy, which means you might have a deductible. So whatever the price of the rims, you will have to come up with the first $500 (if that is your deductible), and the insurance company will cut you a check for the rest. And even then, you'll be ahead of the game and get some nice wheels!
