Hey guys, need a little help. Does anyone know what brand tire came standard on '08 G37 coupes? I'm buying an '08 with only 15K miles, but the tires look way older than that. They look like they only have about 5k left. So... I'm trying to figure out if something is fishy in Denmark. thanks....

 

I think they were Dunlops in some area's and Bridgestone in others. We bought our '08 in '09 with 16k miles and the tires were shot (Dunlops).

 

The 19" sport wheels came with Bridgestone Potenza RE050A (225/45/19, 245/40/19).
The 18" standard wheels came with Dunlop SP Sport Maxx A1 A/S (225/50/18 all around).

 

Cvar33, just read the date code on the tires. Being an '08, it'll either have a date of xx07 or xx08, where xx is the week and 07/08 is the year.

Either way, 15-20K is typical for a performance tire.

 

My 08 sport came with new Yokohama envigor from the dealer

I'm pretty sure stock sport 19s come with potenza 225/245 staggered.

Btw - i have 45k KM or approx 30k miles on my 08 G37S which came with the Potenza RE050A's and only drive the cr in summer and my tires are still the same. They are basically slicks (well about 2/32's of an inch left) but I took extremely good care of them - not the tread but the sidewalks and so from the sides they look brand new. Right now I will not drive in the rain with them due to the lack of proper tread. Also, VERY noisy right now! L
