Help with replacing stock tires

My stock tires (Potenza 050A) have about 21k miles on them and worn out quite badly. So I am thinking to replacing them ASAP. The factory tires come with a staggered setup; 225/R50-18 front and 245/R45-18 rear. I am wondering if I could just replace all 4 wheels with the same size tire(245/R45)? Do I need to adjust anything in order for the front wheels to fit 245/R45 tires? Will handling affected/improved with this setup?

Also, based on the reviews on discount tires, the Hankook Ventus V12 Evo K110 seems to give the most bang for the buck, anyone here had them on? Would love to hear your thoughts! Thanks!

I was considering the michelin pilot super sports, but have been reading questionable reviews about them (in stock sizes), mostly pertaining to softer sidewalls which slow the tire's cornering response.

I think when the time comes, i'll be going with the bridgestone potenza s04's, either in stock sizes, or 245's all around.

From what I have read on this board and others, the Michelin PSS is the most recommended. Check the tire section - and also check out comparisons and comments on tirerack. One often overlooked spec is weight - the Michelin PSS are lighter than the RE050's (2lb front, 4lb rear if I am remembering correctly). This is a good thing!

They also won a recent tire comparison in C&D

I'd stick with stock sizes if you are sticking w/stock rims. Just my opinion...

Good Luck.

What is the biggest tire you can possibly put on stock 18" sedan wheels? Thats the question I haven't heard anyone answer yet. I too am in the market and not wealthy enough to purchase 20's at this time.
