Ideal Rims G37x Sedan

Salutations members,

I want take time to say thank you for having me im new on this site and very excited to be a part of it, a lot good info.
I need some help and please excuse stupid question, im having some difficulty choosing right size rims for my car, I own a 2010 Infiniti G37x sedan.
Can someone please help me with the basics in selecting right fit and size. Im thinking 19' inches because 20' might be pushing it but then again im not a expert on it, so you guys take is highly appreciated. What offset/diameter etc...Pretty much want a clean look nothing crazy dont want much space between fender and wheel and would prefer rim slighty sticks out.

thank a mill

I have my eyes on Vossen 20" rims and I don't plan to drop anytime soon. I've seen pictures of sedans on 20" with no drop and they don't look bad at all.

I live in Chicago which is a pothole haven and I'm lowered on 20's and so far so good! So it's really a preference choice.

Yep, OP are you planning on lowering the vehicle? Also, are you solely going for looks? If so, then it all comes down to personal taste, and budget. You should be fine with either a 20" or 19" wheel.

I just threw on some 20's (staggered) on 11g37x sedan (no drop) and it just sits up to high...IMO...
But tonight I will be dropping her so it should look a bit better.

^ That be my g37xs on staggered 20's not dropped(looking into d2 coilovers at the moment though). just be sure to run the right size tires so your rolling diameter is the same. i'm running fronts 20x8.5 +35 245/35/20(i did run 255/35/20 but dont make that mistake), rears 20x10 +40 285/30/20.

I agree...

It always bugged me that everyone jumped on people to lower their G......but our cars do look ridiculous with wheels when they are not lowered!!! A mild drop, like the Swift springs for the X, make a HUGE difference in appearance.

I will post pics as soon as I get my car detailed. It is a 09 X dropped on Swift springs with 19" VMR V710's, square set-up. I just finished it up last night.

Can't wait to see those pics - that's the exact drop and wheel combo I'm considering.

well no car is not dropped and would prefer not to, my thing is i dont want much space between fender and wheel portion so maybe 20' would be better...also staggered on a awd drive sedan is that possible? i read you cannot on awd cars is this correct?

getting bigger wheels does not mean you will close the gap between your fender and wheel. to keep your speedo accurate, bigger wheels means lower profile tires. Your overall diameter/circumference will be nearly identical. You will have more wheel, but less tire. staggered is not recommended on awd, but it is possible, and have been done.
