Tire Suggestions

I will be lowered on Tanabe coilovers with the following wheel specs.

20x9.5 +22
20x10.5 +25

I was looking at these two tire options. Which set would fit better for the wheel specs above? Or any other recommendations on different sizes?

Option 1
225/35/20
255/30/20

Option 2
245/35/20
255/35/20

The fronts will fit, but what I'm worried about is the rear. I believe a member here had 10.5 +27 with 275/30/20, and it required a lot of fine tuning and stiffening up the rear to make it work. Plus I believe the Tanabe coils are too soft for this setup? My rear fender liners and bumper brackets are shaved.

That depends on how low your car is. There's always the seemingly unpopular or unknown option of raising your rear height just a few mm until it clears the tires so you can fit tires/wheels that have close the same circumference as OEM. This is my suggestion. Otherwise you will have to stretch the tire or make other accommodation.

Those rears should be fine. I am on 275/30/20 on a similar set-up. Completely shaved the rear fender bracket and trim the liner and you will be fine. I am also on Tanabe Coils. It required a little work but now it sits perfect.

It all really depends on how low you plan on running the car.

Yes.

Whether or not a tire/wheel combination will fit is dependent on the height you're set at. I'm on Tanabe coils as well and had 285/30/20 in the rear until I recently changed to 275/30/20. I had no problems with the wider tire, I went with the narrower one because the 285 wasn't in stock in the tire I have at the time. I have shaved bracket and trimmed fender liner as well but I'm probably a few mm higher than many others on the same coil so my wheel/tire fit without an issue. For me it was easier to raise the car a turn or two than to change the size of wheels and tires to make them fit.
