New to the G37S sedan and curious of the normal offsets for a 20x9.5 & 20x10.5/11? Maybe 19's. Not looking at all for the hellaflush/stretched tire look. But don't want a "too" aggressive "fat" tire. Just a nice lip for a three piece wheel and nice tire sizing.

I've actually search many threads on the forums like linked. However 1) Most are coupes. 2) Many members don't post complete info; sizes, offsets and, tire sizing.

Depends on ride height as much as anything and also there is still a lot of room for different opinions within your desire for not being too stretched. 11" rears aren't going to be your best bet if you don't want to strech or aren't slammed. Check out people's pics and then ask them specific questions and depending on what wheels you order the company would have recommended offsets.

I've done that and played with the wheel/tire calculator. What I've gather just from that is;

20x9.5 +30 255/35 & 20x10.5 +30 285/30

What are the specs on your sedan?

I saw in your other thread that you are looking at a couple sets of HREs. If you change your mind, I have a set of Volk GTS for sale in the exact offsets you are considering.

It sounds like what you might be looking for is low to mid 30's offset both front and rear. 245 or 255 / 35 front tires, 275 or 285 / 30 rear tires. I don't know about 11" rears, may be aggressive for what you're going for.

Planning to drop it? Moderately or aggressively?

Yeah from the research I'm gathering I think 20's are what I want. I notice not many running a 9.5 width in the front? Mostly 8.5" and 9.0". And 11" rears will be too aggressive. I agree a 245/255-35 & 275/285-30 will be a nice tire sizing. It's dialing in the offsets.

I like JimmyJones's set-up of 20x9 +20 & 20x10 +30. But the tire sizing is too stretched for my taste; 225/35 & 255/35.

Stretching is for yoga, not tires.

I think you won't have any rubbing issues with 9.5/10.5 on a sedan so long as you're not slammed. Offsets on those widths will likely be flush at +30-35 or so. In the 20's will probably require camber correction and high 30's may not be flush enough. The GTS that Bill has for sale seem almost perfect IMO.

Post on our local forum and see what offset sedan guys are running and how you like them. Mike or JD are probably guys to consult as they've tinkered around and have found good solutions on cars that are not dumped, stretched, nor aggressive. I'm sure either one of them would meet up with you for you to check out their fitment or test fit.

I haven't been allowed to really explore wheel options yet because she doesn't care much about it on her car and would likely complain at the reduction in ride quality from going to the OEM 18s up to 19s or 20s. If I can find a set of awesome 18s that look good and are under about $1500 I might be ok. But I don't know of any quality (ie not knockoffs or Chinese made cast wheels) in that price range that I'd go for.

I think a 20x9.5 +30 with a 255/30 might be perfect for the front. That will net the wheel sticking out 30mm (1.2") from the OEM wheel and no difference to the suspension. The rear is what's in question for the offset. The norm being a 285/30 with a 20x10.5. An offset of +35 will net the wheel sticking out 35mm (1.4") and 5mm (0.2") closer to suspension. The suspension is not a worry. A +30 will net the wheel sticking out 40mm (1.6") and no difference to the suspension. And just to share a +40 will net the wheel sticking out 30mm (1.2") and 10mm (0.4") closer to suspension. Of course these are all from OEM location.

So maybe even the below set-up of would look good. I just prefer a "fatter" tire.
20x9.5 +30 255/30-20
20x10.5 +40 285/30-20

You never mentioned how much camber you are willing to run. I personally prefer factory alignment settings which makes it more of a challenge.

I prefer my settings pretty square. I think with these sizes there shouldn't be more needed than what the factory components can provide.
