Powder Coated Wheels & Hankook Ventus V12 EVO's 245 / 275

Hi Everyone,

This is my first post, but I've been surfing the site for a while now. Just wanted to say thanks to everyone for all the great info on the site.

Thought I would share my new additions

I had my stock rims powder coated at Hy Tech Powder Coating what a great experience, tons of colors to choose from (they have a WALL of samples) and quick turn around. Total was $400 for the set and they took care of everything ! I ended up going with a gunmetal color and I'm in love sets the car off so much better then the stock silver IMO. All my rims had some marks and chips after the powder coating they rims are BRAND NEW, so that along is worth the price of the coating.

I've put the site link below if anyone is interested in getting their rims done if you're in the Milwaukee/Chicago region. Great crew with tons of experience on coating rims.

HY-TEC

While my rims were off at the shop I picked up a set off Hankook V12 to replace my Bridgestones which were falling apart. Overall as the others have said on their reviews the tires offer a softer ride and the side wall is softer compared to the Bridgestones. Still a fantastic amount of grip, and held together really well so far on a track day at Road America.

I jumped up a size on the tires based on what others have done on the site and let me say this, the car looks FANTASTIC with the wider tires in the front and rear. It really makes the rims and car pop I highly recommend. For those in question, I went with 245/40 R19 in the front and 275/35 R19 in the rear. Stock size is 225/45 R19 in the front and the 245/40 R19. There are ZERO problems with clearance or the speedo.

The car holds the road far better with the wider tires and the power gets put down a lot easier too. Car handles well in the rain, far better then the RE050's. Overall I'm very happy with the tires, I wish they were a tad more responsive but for the price you pay in comparison I'll gladly take it.

I've posted some pictures of my set up please enjoy and I'll be happy to answer anyones questions as I need to pay this site back for all the great information I've obtained over the last 3 years.

Really nice looking car! Wheels look great. Don't often see dealer type pinstripes on the G, always wondered how it might look if it was striped on the lower/sharper body line that runs just above the door handle. Love the Blue!

Looks awesome! Is that completely stock? Do you have spacers or lowering springs on or anything?

Someone needs to learn how to count lol, it's more like a year and a half haha.

Some spacers and a drop would definitely make it look awesome! Love the color of your wheels!

I ended up picking the color Argento 314. I took me a while to decide on a color but it's perfect. The color shows a little brighter in the sun because of the clear and metallic inside the powder.

The pinstripe is different didn't notice it until after I bought the car.

I know I should have posted sooner just never got around too it. And just cause I signed up in 2010 doesn't mean I can't check out the site before hand.

Suspension is full stock. I've been looking to get some new springs to drop the car but im in no rush. Still undecided on the spacers I think it would be great just not sure how I feel about some of the issues they cause.

I'm near Milwaukee
