Review NEW Sportline TE.6 Wheels

Think about it this way. In school when you had a great idea for a paper or project and someone overheard you talking about it and stole your idea, did you not get pissed? Now imagine investing thousands of dollars on your fantastic idea (in this case a great wheel design and manufacturing process) and some other d-bag takes your idea, makes it look the same but cheaper and of inferior quality and outsells you because its more "affordable", wouldn't that T you off just a little? You can't say it wouldn't.

I'm with you on this Frank. @frty9 - In exactly what way is a true Volk "outperforming" a reasonably priced wheel? Is it rolling faster LOL? Is it rounder?
If it is no lighter, and the load capabilities of either wheel will never come close to being approached (Never seen a wheel fail unless it has been hit), how is a Volk better at anything but being more expensive?
@swisscheese - Taking off from a previous idea is pretty much the basis for every product in the world from the beginning of time. Its a good bet that 90% of the products you consider "Non knock-offs" are the result of "idea borrowing". It's the way of the world. For those who want to over-pay for products on principle have the complete right to do so, but finding true original ideas in this day and age will be next to impossible.

I just had this conversation on the Lexus forum, way to many people think being "forged" automatically makes a wheel something made out of adamantium like Wolverine's skeleton. There are also different levels of forging. Quality control is of the uptmost importance for any wheel no matter how its made. A shoddy quality wheel is a shoddy quality wheel.
We do extensive testing and have our own in-house quality control to ensure our wheels can stand the pressures of rigorous driving and you can see our wheels on many high performance 500/600hp cars who chose to go with Vossen as they trust it is a quality product even if its low pressure cast.
I am merely setting the record straight on Vossen and in no way am trying to disrespect any other wheel company.
Finally let me also mention we have our own in-house designer.
