Tire problem :(

My tire ripped from the side on the freeway

I spoke with a few Infiniti owners and they said they had this same problem. Has anyone ever experianced anything like this?

That's a tire or road problem, not an Infiniti problem. I ran over the tip of a knife blade and punctured my tire. Has nothing to do with what car I drive. I picked up a screw in my old Stanza. And several nails and staples in my Maxima.

Infiniti just replaced it for me for free. And they said its bridgestone's problem. The tire was punctured from the side without being hit to a curb or hitting a pothole. Infiniti is paying 50% and Bridgestone is paying 50%

Doesn't it give an alert when the tire pressure is low? Because it didn't give any warnings before.

^ no alert for sudden pressure loss. if you have a blow-out, you'll know before TPMS tells you.

I had a g25 loaner the other day and caught a flat on the rear passenger side. The low tire pressure light came on while i was on the freeway. About 10 miles later i got off and stopped at a red light. When i pulled away from the light the loaner started driving funny. So i pulled over and saw that i had a flat. I had eaten the tires sidewall up bad by driving on it but the car never gave me any clue that is was flat until i tried to pull away from that light. Im so used to ignoring the tmps light because my light comes on everytime i drive for about 15 minutes with my headlights or park lights on (Infinti still doesnt know why).

I think the light coming on was your clue. I would have tried to stop sooner than 10 minutes after it came on. Many tire punctures drain out the air quickly and you won't have 10 minutes of driving available. Others will be a slow leak. I would treat any TPMS light as an emergency situation until the tire situation can be assessed.
