Look ma, no spacers!

Added a couple of pics showing the "tucked in" look we get when lowering our Gs and don't add a spacer...

This may be a dumb question...but how easy is it to install the spacers? From reading other threads, I think I'm gonna go with the H&R spacers. Do they just slide on, put on the wheel and use the stock lug nuts to bolt on the wheel? Or do the spacers get bolted on to the hub and then the wheels get bolted on to the spacer? Or are both completely wrong? lol

The stance includes 1/2" removed from the upper rear spring cushion. I sit at 26 1/2" at front and rear due to this.

The H&R DRM spacers bolt to the hub, then the wheel bolts to the spacer.

With 20MM, I would rather go that way than a longer stud holding 2 things down. Im too tired to explain my engineering logic. Lets just say I have had these spacers for 15K miles, and have exceeded 140MPH a few times!!!

The trick is to properly torque them in a star pattern, and torque the wheels WITHOUT WEIGHT on them.

Check with Lou at Amplified Motorsport (Vendor here), or Stillen (during a sale).
Lou will do you right.

My car was exactly like Mr. TV's, except AB. The wheels sat perfectly flush all around with no rubbing whatsoever.

As for spacers, I had DRS's which required a supplied longer stud and you to remove your brake disk to swap out the OEM studs. I thought that was a bit more stable in my mind having to just swap studs out, but that was just me. It took a bit more time to get them on, but everything worked out perfectly in the end as I now have my CV2's with some open ended Kics and I think it looks good.

Gville37, I chose to go with H&Rs. They are hubcentric and, for what I read, better than the ichibas, which are a lot cheaper. I bought the DRM type (they are bolt ons), and got them online for about 280 delivered. I had thought about the DRS type of spacer (you have to remove the discs and replace all studs for longer ones, that way they will hold both, the spacer and the wheel. Don't know whether the kit comes with longer studs or not) which is cheaper too, but it involved more work, and many forums members told me that the DRMs (bolt ons) are stable.

The fronts are tucked in more than the rear, so get a 25mm fr spacer and a 20mm rear

Thanks for the info. Did you have to remove the wheels after some time to re-tighten the bolts that hold the spacers to the hub? My biggest fear with the DRMs is that in order to check if the bolts that hold the spacers to the hub are loosening, you have to remove the wheels. With the DRSs its much easier to check and re-tighten the bolts if needed...but the installation of the DRSs looks a lot more complicated.

I've never used spacers before, so I'll defer to others' experiences with the DRMs

thanks guys for the feedback. i am currently sitting at 26 1/2 " in the front and 26 1/4 " in the rear.....front is certainly more tucked than the rear. I am currently working on posting pictures in an album and hopefully creating a thread about my suspension upgrades.

Added pics after adding the H&R spacers as promised!
No shaking or vibrating whatsoever. Great product.

Your car looks good.

Thanks Mattster. I kinda wish I had known about the front tires being more tucked in than the rear. I'd seen so many other members with all 20mms and such, I thought it just wasn't an issue. But I do plan on getting wider tires anyways, that should help out a little.

I bet you can't wait for those coilovers!

25MM is too rice with stock tires.

Below: Eibach drop with another 1/2" cut from the rear spring cushion.
15MM rear, 20MM front, but I have 275 and 245, causing a bigger stagger.
With that setup, my track front to rear is dead even.

That is a nice Eibach setup!
