Narrowed down to 2 tires
I have dedicated winter tires/wheels.
I have some lonely Volk RE30 (19x9 & 19x10) and am looking to get 245/40/19 & 275/35/19 on them.
I don't 'need' a summer tire and while I do some spirited driving, I'm not planning to auto-x. My main requirements are:
tread life
wet grip ( I hate hydro-planing)
I looked through TireRack and got it narrowed down to:
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Bridgestone Potenza RE760 Sport (Ultra High Performance Summer)
Set of 4: $888.00
Continental ExtremeContact DWS (Ultra High Performance All-Season)
Set of 4: $912.00
General G-MAX AS-03 (Ultra High Performance All-Season)
Set of 4: $816.00
Kumho Ecsta LE Sport (Max Performance Summer)
Set of 4: $752.00
Hankook Ventus V12 evo K110 (Max Performance Summer)
Set of 4: $964.00
BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KDW 2 (Ultra High Performance Summer)
Set of 4: $1012.00
Kumho Ecsta SPT (Ultra High Performance Summer)
Set of 4: $808.00
Yokohama S.drive (Ultra High Performance Summer)
Set of 4: $904.00
----------------------------------------------------------
and from there I ended up with the Contis and the Generals. Anybody have input regarding these choices?
Thanks.

Of the bunch, the DWS is most popular and give you most of whats being asked for. I'd look away from the sport summer tires as they are quick wearing and can be noisy. Call me when ready!
